The Ashfly 1000X Digital Handheld Microscope is a portable, 2MP kids’ microscope that magnifies 100–1000X, records photos and videos, and powers outdoor STEM exploration.

Compact and rugged, this pocket microscope is designed for young explorers aged 5–13 who want to inspect leaves, insects, textiles and small electronics without complicated setup. With a 2-inch color display, eight adjustable LEDs, and built-in storage for more than 200 images, it turns short nature walks, classroom lessons, and hands-on projects into sharable discoveries.

How does this microscope perform outdoors and in low light?

The Ashfly handheld microscope includes eight LEDs with four brightness levels and an anti-glare diffuser so samples remain visible in dim woods, shaded backyards or evening indoor labs. The lighting is adjustable to avoid washout on reflective surfaces while preserving texture and color.

• 8 built-in LEDs with Off/Soft/Medium/High brightness
• Anti-glare diffuser for comfortable viewing
• Rechargeable 600mAh battery for up to three hours of use
• Compact, durable ABS body for outdoor durability

Is it simple enough for kids to use independently?

Yes — the unit was designed with child-friendly controls and stability in mind. An oversized textured focus wheel and an enhanced stabilization design make it easy for small hands to steady the device and achieve clear images quickly.

• Large focus wheel sized for small fingers
• Stabilization features that reduce blur from shaky hands
• 2-inch HD color screen eliminates need to peer through an eyepiece
• Plug-and-play operation with minimal setup required

What file and sharing options are available for school projects?

The Ashfly 2MP sensor captures still photos and AVI video, storing over 200 files internally so kids can document experiments and create nature journals. A USB-C cable (included) allows quick transfers to Windows or Mac computers for presentations or printing.

• Built-in storage holds 200+ photos and videos
• Photo and AVI video capture for easy project use
• USB-C connectivity for fast file transfer to computers
• No SD card required to save discoveries

What safety and portability features should parents know about?

Constructed from BPA-free ABS plastic and weighing about 200 g, this microscope balances sturdiness with light carry. Safety certifications and a detachable neck strap make it convenient and reassuring for field trips and everyday play.

• BPA-free ABS housing and child-safe construction
• CPC/CE/FCC certifications for added peace of mind
• Detachable neck strap and compact footprint for travel
• Rechargeable battery and USB-C charging for convenience
