Asmodee Harmonies board game — Multilingual edition, 30-min tile-laying family & solo strategy

Harmonies is a tile‑placement board game where players build dreamlike landscapes and attract animals to score points through strategic patterns.

This Asmodee release blends tactile tile-laying with pattern recognition and light engine-building to create calm yet competitive sessions. Players place colored terrain tiles to shape habitats, then populate them with animal cards and wooden tokens; every placement adjusts how territories form and how points are scored. With layered options like a solo mode and an expert variant that adds nature spirits, Harmonies fits both short family evenings and thoughtful solo plays.

How do I take turns and score points in Harmonies?

Each turn you select and place a colored tile that changes the landscape and the adjacency of territories. Animals settle in contiguous areas and award points based on matching patterns, sizes of territories, and bonus conditions on cards. Scoring balances immediate placement rewards with longer-term pattern completion, so planning ahead pays off.

• Place colored tiles to expand or split territories.
• Deploy animal cards to occupy matching landscapes for points.
• Gain bonuses for connected regions, card objectives, and set collections.

What components are included and how do they elevate gameplay?

Harmonies ships with high-quality tactile pieces and evocative illustrations that help players visualize their ecosystems. The set includes wooden tokens for physical scoring and markers, durable cards with original artwork, and tiles that form a 3D-like landscape. These components make each decision feel tangible and enhance long-term durability for repeated play.

• 120 wooden tokens for scoring and territorial markers.
• 42 illustrated animal and objective cards with unique scoring conditions.
• Colorful landscape tiles that interlock visually to shape the board.

Can I play Harmonies alone or adjust complexity?

Yes—Harmonies includes a dedicated solo mode with a structured opponent system so one player can enjoy a challenging session. If you want more depth, the expert mode introduces nature spirits that modify animal cards and scoring, increasing tactical options. Both modes keep the game's core tile-laying mechanics while offering distinct strategic goals.

• Solo mode provides an AI-like opponent with set actions and objectives.
• Expert mode adds spirit effects that alter card interactions and scoring.
• Adjustable difficulty through optional rules and variant setups.

How long does a typical game take and what player counts suit it best?

Average playtime is about 30 minutes, making Harmonies a compact option for quick sessions or as part of a game night rotation. The box supports 1–4 players and scales well: quicker, puzzle-like turns for solo and two-player games, and more table interaction at higher counts. Rules remain accessible while still rewarding strategic foresight.

• Designed for 1–4 players with balanced scaling.
• Approximately 30 minutes per game for an engaging yet brief experience.
• Recommended age 10+ to suit families and hobby gamers alike.

Who is this for? Harmonies appeals to families seeking an approachable but thoughtful board game, couples or small groups who like gentle competition and visual creativity, and solo gamers who enjoy puzzle-driven tactical play. It’s an attractive pick for players who appreciate beautiful components, strategic tile placement, and short sessions that still reward planning and pattern recognition.
