Aumuca Deshedding Brush for Dogs & Cats – 2.2" Stainless Steel Undercoat Rake, Lightweight Ergonomic Dematting Comb

Aumuca Deshedding Brush is a lightweight, stainless-steel undercoat rake and dematting comb designed to remove loose hair and gently break up mats on long or short coats.

Keep your pet's coat cleaner and more comfortable at home with a grooming tool made for regular use. The Aumuca brush pairs precision-cut teeth and rounded tips to lift shedding fur and loosen tangles without harsh pulling, while its compact, ergonomic build reduces wrist strain. Built from rust-resistant 420 stainless steel and weighing only about 1.5 ounces, it fits comfortably in the hand and tackles dense undercoats on dogs, cats, and other furry companions.

How does this brush reduce shedding around the house?

Regular brushing with the Aumuca deshedder removes loose hair before it falls onto floors and furniture. Using gentle strokes in the direction of growth captures shed undercoat fibers and helps prevent new tangles from forming.

• Precision-cut teeth lift loose fur without cutting the outer coat.
• 2.2-inch blade covers a useful swath of coat for faster sessions.
• Use 1–2 times weekly for most pets; increase frequency during seasonal blowouts.
• Rounded tips protect skin, so brushing can be more thorough and frequent.

Will this tool safely tackle mats and tangles?

The Aumuca dematting comb is built to gently work through matted areas rather than yank them free. Slow, careful passes in sensitive spots like behind the ears, underarms, and along the legs will help loosen stubborn tangles with minimal discomfort.

• Work gradually from the mat edges toward the base to minimize pulling.
• Protective blade cover keeps teeth safe during storage and travel.
• Rounded tooth tips reduce the chance of skin irritation during detangling.

What makes the design comfortable for owners to use?

At about 1.5 ounces, this brush is significantly lighter than typical groomers, reducing wrist fatigue during longer sessions. The ergonomic profile provides a secure grip so you can maintain consistent, controlled strokes across the coat.

• Ultra-light 420 stainless steel frame resists rust while staying easy to maneuver.
• Compact 2.2-inch blade reaches prone matting zones without overworking the hand.
• Balanced weight distribution helps steady strokes for sensitive pets.

Can I use this brush on animals other than dogs and cats?

Yes—Aumuca's undercoat rake is effective on a variety of double-coated and dense-furred animals. It works well for rabbits, ferrets, guinea pigs and even larger animals like horses when used appropriately and with care.

• Designed for both long and short double coats across species.
• Gentle teeth and rounded tips suitable for smaller exotics and larger animals alike.
• Adjust brushing frequency based on the animal's coat type and sensitivity.
