BLACK+DECKER 16" Oscillating Pedestal Fan with Remote — 16-inch Black, Height-Adjustable & 3 Speeds

The BLACK+DECKER 16" Oscillating Pedestal Fan (BFSR16B) is a lightweight, height-adjustable stand fan with three speeds, 90° oscillation and a remote for easy whole-room airflow control.

Designed for living rooms, bedrooms, home offices and compact apartments, this 16-inch pedestal fan balances power and portability. It combines a durable 16" blade with a stable 15.3" base, a maximum height near 49", and a 30° tilt feature so you can aim airflow precisely where you need it. Simple front-panel buttons plus the included remote let you change speed and oscillation quickly without getting up.

How strong is the airflow and can it cool a medium-sized room?

The BFSR16B delivers steady air movement with three selectable speeds to match your comfort level. While it doesn't cool air like an air conditioner, the fan improves air circulation and increases perceived comfort in medium-sized rooms by creating refreshing cross-breeze and evaporative cooling.

• Durable 16" blade designed for efficient air movement
• Three speed settings for light to stronger airflow
• 90° oscillation spreads air across a room instead of a single spot

What adjustments and controls are available for positioning and convenience?

Height and tilt adjustments allow flexible placement: raise the pedestal up to about 49" and tilt the head up to 30° to direct air where you want it. Controls are intuitive on the front panel, and the included remote duplicates those functions for hands-free changes from across the room.

• Adjustable pedestal height for floor-to-head-level airflow
• 30° tilt head for targeted cooling
• Remote control operates speed and oscillation from a distance

Is the fan easy to move, install, and maintain?

Yes — the fan is lightweight at approximately 9.9 lbs, making it straightforward to carry between rooms. Assembly is quick with clear parts and a compact base that fits in smaller spaces; routine maintenance is limited to occasional dusting of the grille and blades.

• Weighs about 9.9 pounds for simple portability
• Compact 15.3" diameter pedestal base fits tight spaces
• 5-foot power cord offers flexible placement near outlets

What basic troubleshooting and safety tips should I know?

If the fan doesn’t power on, first confirm it’s plugged in and check that the fuse cover is securely closed. For safe operation, place the fan on a stable, level surface and keep small objects and fingers away from the grille while it’s running.

• Ensure unit is plugged into a working outlet before use
• Confirm fuse cover and assembly parts are properly secured
• Unplug before cleaning or moving and follow basic safety precautions
