Blue Buffalo Turkey Grain-Free Adult Dry Dog Food, 10.9 kg — Limited Ingredients & Skin Support

Blue Buffalo Basics Turkey & Potato is a limited-ingredient, grain-free adult dry dog food made with real turkey as the first ingredient to support gentle digestion and a healthy coat.

This formula is designed for adult dogs that benefit from a simplified ingredient list: real deboned turkey provides primary protein, potato supplies an easily digested carbohydrate, and Omega-3 and Omega-6 fatty acids help support skin and coat condition. Blue Buffalo includes its LifeSource Bits — a blend of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants — while avoiding common fillers and known allergens such as corn, wheat, and soy. The recipe is also free of poultry by-product meals, artificial flavors, and artificial preservatives.

How does this food support digestion and sensitive stomachs?

The limited-ingredient approach reduces the number of potential dietary irritants, making it easier to identify and manage sensitivities. Potatoes are used as the primary carbohydrate because they tend to be gentler on digestion than some grains, and the straightforward recipe helps maintain consistent tolerance.

• Single main animal protein: real deboned turkey first
• Grain-free formula using potato for digestible carbohydrates
• Fewer ingredients reduce risk of food-triggered upset
• Free from corn, wheat, soy, and poultry by-product meals

Will this recipe help my dog's skin and coat?

This formula includes Omega-3 and Omega-6 fatty acids, nutrients commonly used to support healthy skin and a glossy coat. Regular feeding as part of a balanced diet, along with routine grooming, can help maintain coat condition over time.

• Added Omega-3 and Omega-6 fatty acids for skin and coat support
• High-quality animal protein to support muscle tone and overall health
• Free from artificial flavors and preservatives that can aggravate sensitivity
• LifeSource Bits supply antioxidant support that contributes to overall wellness

What makes Blue Buffalo’s LifeSource Bits different?

LifeSource Bits are a proprietary mix of antioxidants, vitamins and minerals selected by animal nutritionists to support immune health and balanced oxidative protection. These bits are added to preserve key nutrients and provide targeted support without introducing unnecessary ingredients.

• Blended vitamins and minerals chosen by veterinarians and nutritionists
• Antioxidant-rich formulation to support immune system function
• Included in every kibble batch to ensure consistent nutrient delivery
• Does not introduce common allergens like corn or soy

How should I transition my dog to this food and what portion sizes are typical?

Switch gradually over 7–10 days by increasing the Blue Buffalo Basics portion and decreasing the previous food to minimize digestive upset. Portion size depends on your dog’s weight, age, activity level and body condition; follow the feeding guide on the packaging and adjust as needed to maintain ideal body weight.

• Transition plan: start with 25% new food and increase to 100% over 7–10 days
• Follow the on-bag feeding chart for weight-based starting portions
• Adjust portions for activity level and body condition score
• Consult your veterinarian for tailored feeding advice if needed

Who is this for: Blue Buffalo Basics Turkey & Potato Grain-Free Adult Dry Dog Food is suited to adult dogs that do best on a limited-ingredient, grain-free diet—especially pets with ingredient sensitivities or owners who prefer a simplified recipe featuring real turkey as the primary protein.
