BN-LINK 7-Day Programmable In-Wall Digital Timer Switch — Blue Backlit, 18 On/Off Events, Battery Backup

BN-LINK's 7-Day Programmable In-Wall Digital Timer Switch is a replaceable light and fan switch that lets you schedule up to 18 on/off events per day with a blue-backlit display and battery backup for retained settings.

This in-wall digital timer from BN-LINK replaces a standard light switch to automate lighting and fan circuits across a weekly schedule. It supports single-pole and 3-way wiring, offers one-minute minimum intervals, and includes daylight-saving (DST) and random vacation modes so you can customize behavior for energy savings, security, and convenience without needing a separate smart hub.

How easy is it to program and read the timer?

Programming is done on the front panel with clear buttons and a blue backlight for low-light visibility. You can create up to 18 on/off events and assign them to individual days or to preset day groups, and the menu-driven interface walks you through DST adjustments and manual overrides.

• Blue backlit LCD for easy night and low-light viewing.
• 18 programmable on/off events available each week.
• DST mode for one-touch seasonal time changes.
• Manual override to toggle between AUTO and manual modes.

What kinds of devices and locations can this switch control?

The BN-LINK timer handles lighting and motor loads commonly found indoors—porch lights, hallway lamps, ceiling fans, garage lighting, and other fixtures within its electrical rating. It’s rated for typical household loads and includes a random vacation mode to simulate occupancy when you’re away.

• Rated 15A/1875W resistive; 10A/1250W tungsten/ballast; 1/2 HP motor load.
• Ideal for indoor fixtures: entry, hallway, patio, garage, and ceiling fans.
• Random mode creates varied on/off intervals for security while away.
• Works with both single-pole and 3-way circuits for flexible placement.

What wiring and safety requirements should I know before installation?

This digital switch requires a neutral wire in the wall box for proper operation and is ETL listed to industry standards. It supports SPDT 3-way setups, comes with a wall plate, and includes a rechargeable backup battery to keep schedules through brief power interruptions.

• Neutral wire required—confirm wall box has neutral before purchase.
• Compatible with single-pole and 3-way (SPDT) wiring arrangements.
• ETL listed; conforms to UL Std.60730-1 and 60730-2-7 safety standards.
• Operating range from -15°C (5°F) to 50°C (122°F) for reliability.

How does this timer save energy and increase home security?

Scheduled control reduces unnecessary run time for lights and fans, trimming electricity use when areas are not occupied. Random mode and scheduled evening programming help deter burglars by making the home appear occupied, while precise on/off intervals avoid leaving lights on all night.

• Set exact start and stop times to avoid wasted energy.
• One-minute minimum intervals for tight control of runtime.
• Vacation randomizer simulates presence to deter break-ins.
• Automatic weekly schedules eliminate manual switching habits.

Who is this for?: Homeowners, landlords, and renters with neutral wiring who want reliable weekly automation without a hub. If you need a hardwired solution for lights or fans that supports both single-pole and 3-way setups, offers battery-backed schedules, and includes security-friendly randomization, the BN-LINK 7-Day Programmable In-Wall Digital Timer Switch is a practical and cost-effective choice. It suits stairways, hallways, porches, garages, and multi-entry rooms where timed control and clear visibility matter.
