BORHOOD Ultrasonic Pest & Rodent Repeller — White Plug-In Unit, 3 Modes, Indoor Energy-Efficient

The BORHOOD Ultrasonic Pest Rodent Repeller is a plug-in, trap-free device that emits variable high-frequency waves to discourage mice, rats, squirrels, ants, roaches, spiders and other common household pests.

Replace sticky traps and messy bait stations with a continuous, low-energy deterrent designed for indoor use. This compact unit cycles through a range of high-frequency sounds (roughly 25–65 kHz) and offers three selectable modes so you can adapt coverage for living rooms, kitchens, garages or storage areas. It’s intended as a humane behavioral deterrent and works best when you use one device per enclosed room and allow a few weeks for full effect.

How does the BORHOOD repeller affect pest behavior?

The unit produces varying ultrasonic and pressure-wave signals that create an uncomfortable environment for rodents and many crawling insects, encouraging them to relocate. It does not kill or trap pests; instead it disrupts their comfort zones and nesting behavior over time.

• Emits alternating high-frequency and pressure-wave patterns across a broad audible band.
• Creates irritation and disorientation for pests without poisons or chemicals.
• Typically shows gradual reduction in activity within 3–4 weeks.

Where should I place the device for best coverage?

Position a single repeller in each enclosed room for reliable results, and avoid hiding it behind furniture or curtains. Ultrasonic waves do not pass through solid barriers well, so open sight lines and mounting 10–50 inches above the floor help maximize dispersion.

• Use one unit per room—kitchen, basement, attic, garage, or office.
• Keep at least 10–50 inches off the floor for optimal wave spread.
• Do not place behind large appliances, heavy drapes or inside cupboards.

What are the modes and when should I use each?

The BORHOOD unit offers three distinct settings so you can choose quiet daily deterrence or stronger patterns for persistent problems. A low/steady ultrasonic mode is best for general prevention; a pressure-wave option cycles frequencies for broader insect and rodent impact; the high-intensity audible pattern is reserved for severe infestations and should be used only in unoccupied rooms.

• Daily ultrasonic mode — gentle, continuous deterrence for occupied spaces.
• Pressure-wave mode — variable pulses that broaden coverage against insects and rodents.
• High-intensity audible mode — powerful setting for temporary use in empty rooms or attics.

How energy-efficient and user-friendly is the repeller?

The plug-in design consumes very little power—comparable to a small nightlight—so continuous operation is economical. A clear LCD displays current mode and status, and the device runs 24/7 once plugged in; maintenance is limited to occasional dusting and ensuring the outlet remains unobstructed.

• Power draw roughly 3–5 watts for continuous use.
• Simple plug-and-play setup with included adapter.
• LCD display shows active mode and working status at a glance.

Who is this for? The BORHOOD Ultrasonic Pest Rodent Repeller is aimed at homeowners, renters and small business operators seeking a humane, chemical-free way to reduce indoor pest activity. It’s ideal for families with children and non-rodent pets (do not use around pet rodents such as hamsters, gerbils, or guinea pigs). For best results, pair the repeller with standard sanitation practices: seal entry points, remove food sources, and keep clutter to a minimum.
