Bose Ultra Open Earbuds — Open-ear Bluetooth Earbuds, Black, Clip-On Comfort & Immersive Spatial Audio

These clip-on earbuds combine Bose OpenAudio technology with Immersive Audio spatialization to create a listening experience that places you inside the music without blocking ambient noise. The lightweight, over-ear clip design and flexible joint aim for all-day comfort, while an IPX4 rating and acoustic mesh protect against splashes and debris. Battery life supports extended use with on-the-go charging from the included case and Bluetooth multipoint ensures smooth switching across devices.

How do these earbuds let me stay aware while listening to music?

The Bose Ultra Open Earbuds use an open-ear format so sound reaches your ears without filling or sealing the ear canal. OpenAudio delivers private, high-quality sound that coexists with environmental sounds, helping you remain alert to conversations, traffic, or your surroundings.

• Open-ear design preserves ambient hearing for situational awareness
• OpenAudio technology focuses sound toward you, minimizing bleed
• Acoustic mesh keeps debris out while not blocking external noise

What does Immersive Audio add to the listening experience?

Bose Immersive Audio spatializes playback to create a sense of depth and placement, so tracks feel more enveloping than standard stereo. You can toggle between stereo and immersive modes via onboard button controls to match your content or preference.

• Spatialized sound adds depth and positioning for music and media
• Easy mode switching with physical buttons on each earbud
• Immersive mode available when you want a more cinematic or expansive soundstage

How long does the battery last and how does charging work?

The earbuds offer multiple hours of continuous playback and extended standby durability; the compact charging case provides additional charges for travel or longer days. A USB-C cable is included for recharging the case quickly.

• Up to around 7.5 hours typical playtime (reduced with immersive mode active)
• Charging case adds roughly 19.5 hours of extra playtime for multiple charges
• USB-C cable included for fast, convenient recharges

Are these earbuds durable enough for active use and commuting?

The Ultra Open Earbuds are rated IPX4 for water resistance, making them resilient to sweat and light splashes. Acoustic mesh helps prevent moisture and particles from entering the driver area while the over-ear clip keeps them secure during movement.

• IPX4 water resistance handles sweat and light rain
• Acoustic mesh resists debris and moisture buildup
• Light-as-air grip with flexible joint keeps earbuds stable when moving

Who is this for: The Bose Ultra Open Earbuds suit listeners who want a safer, more aware listening setup—runners, commuters, and multitaskers who prefer staying connected to their environment. They also fit music fans who want spatialized audio without the isolation of in-ear tips, and anyone who values comfortable, clip-on wear with dependable battery life and easy device switching.
