Catego Flea and Tick Prevention for Cats — 3-Month Supply for Cats Over 680 g, Monthly Topical Fast-Acting

Catego Flea and Tick Prevention for Cats is a monthly topical treatment that kills fleas on contact, controls ticks, and disrupts the flea lifecycle to protect cats for up to one month per dose.

Catego is a fragrance-free, quick-drying, non-greasy topical designed for cats weighing more than 1.5 pounds and aged eight weeks or older. Applied directly to the skin with a rounded applicator tip, the formula spreads across the coat to provide full-body protection. Each pack provides a three-month supply so you can maintain continuous prevention without a prescription.

How quickly does Catego start working on fleas and ticks?

Catego begins killing adult fleas within hours of application and works by contact, so fleas don’t need to bite your cat to be affected. It also affects tick populations on the animal and prevents immature flea stages from developing on your pet.

• Flea knockdown typically within 6 hours after application.
• Contact action reduces the chance of parasites biting first.
• Stops development of flea eggs and larvae present on the cat.
• Monthly reapplication maintains continuous protection.

What is the correct way to apply Catego to my cat?

Apply Catego directly to the cat’s skin using the rounded applicator tip, parting the fur so the product reaches the skin surface. Use the full dose for each application and avoid bathing or shampooing your cat immediately before or after treatment to ensure the product spreads effectively.

• Part the fur between the shoulder blades and apply to the skin.
• One applicator per month per cat — follow package directions for frequency.
• Avoid contact with the treated area until dry to prevent transfer.
• Do not use on kittens under 8 weeks or cats under 1.5 lbs.

How long does it take to clear a home infestation?

Because only a small fraction of flea populations are adult fleas on the pet, visible improvement on the cat can be quick, but eliminating an entire household infestation takes time. Continued monthly treatment is recommended — environmental stages like eggs, larvae and pupae in the home may take several months of consistent treatment to fully resolve.

• One dose protects the cat for one month.
• Expect gradual reduction in home flea numbers over 3–4 months with consistent use.
• Combine with household cleaning (vacuuming, washing bedding) for faster results.
• No prescription needed, so it’s easy to maintain uninterrupted protection.

Is Catego safe for multi-cat households and outdoor cats?

Catego is formulated to be suitable for most cats over 1.5 pounds, making it convenient for homes with several cats. It works for both indoor and outdoor cats when used according to the product label, and the non-greasy, fragrance-free formula helps with user comfort and pet acceptance.

• One-size-fits-most design for multi-cat households.
• Appropriate for indoor and outdoor cats eight weeks and older.
• Fragrance-free and quick drying for easier application and handling.
• Follow label directions for any cat with special health conditions or other medications.
