DJI FPV Remote Controller 3 — O4-capable FPV controller, lightweight with extended battery life and adjustable sticks

The DJI FPV Remote Controller 3 is a lightweight, O4-capable controller built for precise FPV flying, offering Manual mode, longer battery life, and adjustable control sticks for advanced pilots.

Designed to work with DJI’s latest O4 video transmission ecosystem, the FPV Remote Controller 3 refines ergonomics and performance for racers and freestyle pilots who demand responsive inputs and reliable range. It combines a reduced weight, integrated antenna architecture, and extended stick length to make aggressive maneuvers and fine throttle adjustments easier while extending operating times versus the prior model.

How does the integrated antenna and O4 support improve flight range and video clarity?

The controller is engineered around DJI O4 video transmission, with antennas built into the chassis to streamline signal paths. This helps reduce drag and interference while improving thermal and power management, contributing to steadier connections during dynamic flight.

• Integrated antenna design optimized for O4 transmission
• Lighter chassis helps pilots maintain control during aggressive maneuvers
• Improved operating time reduces mid-session battery swaps
• More reliable link for lower-latency video and control responsiveness

What does Manual mode add for experienced pilots?

Manual mode unlocks full, unassisted flight controls so advanced users can practice acrobatic or competition-style flying without flight-assist interventions. It’s intended for pilots who have progressed beyond assisted modes and want to refine skills like inverted flight and precise throttle control.

• Full manual control for acro and race maneuvers
• Complementary Normal and Sport modes for easier transitions
• Ideal for skill-building and simulator-to-real-world transfer
• Requires responsible use and prior experience

How can I customize stick feel and fit for my flying style?

The Remote Controller 3 ships with slightly longer control sticks (extended by 2 mm) to better suit single- or dual-finger techniques. A small screwdriver is included so you can fine-tune stick tension and trim to match personal preference or race-day requirements; consult the manual or tutorial videos for step-by-step guidance.

• 2 mm longer sticks for enhanced precision and finger comfort
• Adjustable stick tension using the included screwdriver
• Settings accessible in the manual and online tutorials
• Fine adjustment supports both relaxed cruising and aggressive racing

Which aircraft and simulators are compatible with this controller?

The controller supports multiple DJI platforms and popular FPV simulators, making it easy to practice virtually then fly the same control layout in real life. Compatibility spans DJI’s FPV family and several community-standard simulators used by racers worldwide.

• Compatible hardware: DJI Neo, DJI Avata 2, DJI O3 Air Unit, DJI O4 Air Unit Pro, DJI O4 Air Unit
• Simulator support includes Liftoff, Uncrashed, DCL, and The Drone Racing League
• Unified controls ensure consistent muscle memory from sim to field
• Firmware updates may expand device compatibility over time

Who is this for? The DJI FPV Remote Controller 3 is aimed at intermediate and advanced FPV pilots who want a lighter, more responsive transmitter with true Manual mode and easy stick customization. It's also a good fit for sim-focused racers who want seamless transition to real-world flying with O4 video performance and longer session times. Beginners may prefer to start with assisted flight modes or a more entry-level controller before moving to Manual mode.
