Downy Rinse Laundry Odour Remover Active Fresh 1.83 L — odour-eliminating rinse, gentle on fabrics

Downy Rinse Laundry Odor Remover in Active Fresh scent is a laundry rinse that breaks down and removes stubborn odors at the source, refreshing clothes in a single wash.

If your clothes look clean but still carry smells from sweat, smoke, or mildew, this 62 fl oz bottle of Downy Rinse provides a targeted solution. Designed to be added to the fabric softener compartment after detergent, it works during the rinse cycle to neutralize persistent odors rather than merely masking them. The formula is free of heavy dyes and strong perfumes, making it suitable for a wide range of fabrics and sensitive skin.

How does Downy Rinse remove set-in odors so quickly?

Downy Rinse contains active ingredients that target odor molecules during the rinse cycle, loosening and eliminating trapped smells from fabric fibers. By acting in the rinse stage, it reaches areas detergent may miss and helps release odors into the wash water for removal.

• Works during rinse cycle to access trapped odor sources
• Breaks down odor molecules instead of covering them
• Proven to outperform leading value detergents on set-in odors

Will it work on all types of clothing and fabrics?

Yes — Downy Rinse is formulated to be safe on most household laundry, including activewear, towels, delicates, and baby clothes. It’s gentle enough for regular use because it avoids heavy dyes and strong perfumes, but always follow garment care labels for delicate items.

• Safe for activewear, everyday clothes, towels, and delicates
• Suitable for baby clothing when used as directed
• Use with caution on specialty-care fabrics per label instructions

How do I use it in my washing machine?

Using Downy Rinse is straightforward: add your detergent as usual, then pour Downy Rinse into the fabric softener dispenser so it releases during the rinse cycle. No extra steps or presoaking required — one rinse cycle with this product is designed to refresh garments effectively.

• Add detergent to the detergent compartment first
• Pour Downy Rinse into the fabric softener dispenser
• Runs automatically during the rinse cycle for convenience

Does the product leave a strong fragrance or irritate sensitive skin?

Downy Rinse Active Fresh provides a light, clean scent but is formulated without heavy dyes and overpowering perfumes to minimize irritation. The milder profile helps make it a better choice for people with sensitive skin while still delivering a fresh-smelling result.

• Active Fresh scent offers a subtle clean aroma
• Free of heavy dyes and strong perfumes
• Gentler on skin compared with heavily scented fabric treatments

Who this is for: Downy Rinse is ideal for households that need a dependable answer to lingering smells — from gym clothes and towels to older garments that haven’t responded to detergent alone. It suits parents managing baby laundry, people with active lifestyles, or anyone who wants fresher-smelling clothes without heavy fragrances. If you want a simple, rinse-cycle solution that targets odors at the source and works across fabrics, this Downy product is made for you.
