EKO Madison 50 L Brushed Stainless Steel Step Bin — Soft-Close Lid & Removable Inner Liner

The EKO Madison is a 50L (13.2 gallon) brushed stainless steel step trash can with a soft-close lid, removable inner liner, and fingerprint-resistant finish for everyday kitchen or recycling use.

Designed to blend with modern kitchens while handling everyday waste, the EKO Madison combines a durable stainless steel body, a quiet damper lid, and a roomy inner bucket to simplify trash management. Its rectangular shape fits neatly against counters or in narrow spaces, and the reinforced pedal and hinge are engineered for frequent, reliable use.

How does the EKO Madison keep smells and mess under control?

The lid includes a discreet deodorizer compartment on the underside so you can add your favorite scent or charcoal puck between bag changes. The raised removable polypropylene inner liner contains spills and makes it easier to remove and replace bags without touching the can’s exterior.

• Built-in deodorizer compartment under the lid for odor control
• Removable inner liner with handles for quick, hygienic bag changes
• Bag-fixer slot to prevent liners sliding into the can
• Rectangular shape reduces exposed rim where mess accumulates

Is the lid noisy or does it close gently?

The Madison uses a bi-force damper to ensure the lid opens and closes slowly and quietly, eliminating slamming that disturbs the kitchen. The robust step pedal is built to withstand heavy use and the lid can be locked in the open position for extended tasks like cleaning or preparing food.

• Soft-close damper prevents loud slamming
• Durable foot pedal rated for extensive daily operation
• Stay-open lid lock for hands-free convenience during tasks
• Stable base design reduces accidental tipping when accessed

What makes the construction durable and low-maintenance?

The exterior is finished in fingerprint-resistant brushed stainless steel to maintain a clean look with minimal wiping. The internal bucket is polypropylene—lightweight, reinforced, and easy to lift—so replacing liners and cleaning the interior are straightforward chores.

• Fingerprint-resistant stainless steel resists smudges and keeps a polished look
• Raised inner bucket protects the outer shell from leaks and stains
• Polypropylene liner is simple to empty and rinse if needed
• Solid pedal and hinge components extend the can’s service life

Will standard trash bags fit, and how large is it?

The Madison accommodates standard kitchen trash bags in a roomy 50L (13.2 gallon) capacity so you won’t need specialty liners. Its outer dimensions are compact enough to tuck against counters: 16.9" W x 14.3" D x 25.4" H, and the lid height reaches 36.6" when open.

• 50L / 13.2 gallon capacity fits common kitchen bags
• Dimensions: 16.9" W x 14.3" D x 25.4" H (lid open 36.6")
• Rectangular footprint optimized for tight spaces or between cabinets
• Compatible with EKO 13G extra-strong trash bags for added protection

Who is this for: The EKO Madison is ideal for homeowners, apartment dwellers, or small offices seeking a stylish, low-maintenance waste solution that blends with modern decor. It suits anyone who wants a durable pedal can with a quiet lid, easy bag changes, and odor control features without investing in specialty bags or complicated mechanisms.
