eKyro Smart Garage Door Opener — Universal Wi-Fi Controller, Updated Model with Door-Left-Open Alerts

The eKyro Smart Garage Door Opener is a universal Wi‑Fi controller that lets you monitor and operate most garage doors from your phone or voice assistant without monthly fees.

Install the compact eKyro module in minutes to add remote access, voice control and status alerts to an existing garage door opener. It bridges your opener to home assistants like Alexa, Google Home and Siri, supports iPhone and Android apps, and offers optional adapters for broader compatibility. The device keeps a log of door state and can notify you if a door is left open, helping you manage access and peace of mind from anywhere.

How do I set up the eKyro Smart Garage Door Opener?

Setup is designed to be quick: power the unit, pair it to your home Wi‑Fi, then connect to your garage opener following the step‑by‑step mobile app prompts. If your opener needs it, an adapter is available to expand compatibility. Voice assistant linking is done in the app through the Alexa or Google Home account integrations.

• Plug in and connect to 2.4 GHz Wi‑Fi using the mobile app
• Attach to your opener’s control terminals or use the included wiring
• Test open/close cycles and set door‑left‑open notifications
• Link to Alexa, Google Home or Siri for voice commands

Which garage openers work with eKyro and what if mine doesn’t?

eKyro supports most major opener brands out of the box; some models may require an optional compatibility adapter. The product does not work with RYOBI brand openers. If you’re unsure, the eKyro team can advise whether an adapter will solve compatibility gaps.

• Works with standard belt, chain, and screw drive openers
• Optional adapter available for specific legacy models
• Not compatible with RYOBI openers
• Multiple eKyro units can be used for multiple doors

What features improve security and convenience?

Beyond remote open/close, eKyro provides door‑left‑open alerts, scheduling, and activity history so you can see who opened the door and when. There are no subscription fees for core functions; advanced notifications like SMS or calls may incur charges through third‑party services. The device supports shared access for family members and integrates with smart home routines.

• Real‑time open/close control and activity logs
• Automatic closing schedules and open‑door alerts
• Voice control via Alexa, Google Home and Siri
• No monthly fees for main features

How does eKyro fit into an existing smart home setup?

eKyro acts as a bridge between your garage opener and popular smart ecosystems, enabling voice commands and automation routines. Add it to scenes (for example, ‘Goodnight’ to close the door) or use it alongside security systems to improve overall home control. Multiple units can be named and managed individually in the app for homes with more than one garage entry.

• Integrates with Alexa, Google Assistant and Siri shortcuts
• Works with iPhone, Android and smart watches for mobile control
• Supports multiple devices and per‑door naming for clarity
• Can be included in smart home automation routines

Who is this for: The eKyro Smart Garage Door Opener is ideal for homeowners who want remote control and monitoring of an existing garage opener without recurring fees, families needing shared access, or smart home users who want voice and routine integration. If you own a RYOBI opener, this model won’t work, but most other popular openers are compatible or can be made compatible with an optional adapter.
