Epicurean 8" x 6" Kitchen Cutting Board Natural — Compact Richlite, Heat-Resistant, Dishwasher Safe

Epicurean Kitchen Series 8" × 6" cutting board is a lightweight, dual-sided Richlite composite board made in the USA for everyday prep, serving, and heat-resistant trivet use.

Compact and thoughtfully designed, this natural-finished 8-by-6 board combines a slim profile with a resilient paper-composite surface that stands up to daily kitchen tasks. Made from Richlite, a durable and non-porous material, the board resists staining and moisture while remaining gentle on knife edges. Its built-in thumb hole makes handling and storage simple, and the board’s ability to withstand temperatures up to 350°F lets it double as a trivet for hot pans.

How durable is this small Epicurean board for regular cutting tasks?

The Richlite composite construction offers high durability for everyday chopping, slicing, and serving. It resists warping and won’t absorb liquids, so it keeps a clean surface longer than many woods or plastics. While it accepts knife marks over time, the material is formulated to be knife-friendly and maintain a smooth cutting face.

• Made from non-porous Richlite paper composite for long-lasting use
• Resists staining and moisture — less odor and bacteria trapping
• Gentle on blades to preserve knife sharpness
• Thin, lightweight profile for easy handling and storage

Can I use this board for hot cookware and as a trivet?

Yes — the board tolerates temperatures up to 350°F, allowing it to serve as a trivet for hot pots and pans in a pinch. Because the material is heat-resistant, it’s suitable for short-term contact with heated cookware. Avoid placing direct open flames or oven racks on it to preserve appearance and integrity.

• Heat-tolerant to 350°F for short-term trivet use
• Use under hot pans to protect counters and tables
• Not intended for direct flame or extended oven exposure

How easy is it to clean and store this Epicurean cutting board?

The board is dishwasher safe for hands-off cleaning and is formed from non-porous material that discourages staining and bacterial growth. Its thin, lightweight shape and thumb hole make it convenient to hang or slide into tight cabinet spaces. No oiling or special maintenance is required, making it a low-effort option for busy kitchens.

• Dishwasher-safe design for quick cleanup
• Built-in thumb hole for hanging or gripping when in use
• No seasoning or oiling needed — maintenance-free
• Dual-sided use extends the board’s practical life

What tasks is the 8" × 6" size best suited for?

The compact footprint is ideal for single-serve prep, small ingredients, and serving bites or garnishes. It’s perfect for slicing citrus, chopping herbs, preparing a sandwich, or presenting cheese and charcuterie in tight spaces. Because it’s lightweight and easy to carry, the board travels well for outdoor meals or small food photography setups.

• Herb mincing, citrus slicing, and single-portion prep
• Serving small appetizers, cheese, or condiments
• Portable for picnics, camping, or outdoor cooking
