Etekcity Smart Body Scale — Wi-Fi/Bluetooth Weight, Body Fat & BMI, Tempered Glass, 181 kg Capacity

If you want a reliable home scale that links measurements to a smartphone app and supports FSA/HSA reimbursement, this Etekcity model blends precise sensors, user-friendly features and broad app compatibility. It supports up to 400 lb (180 kg), offers small incremental accuracy, and includes specialized modes for babies and light items. The scale runs on three AAA batteries and works with iOS 12+ and Android 6.0+ devices so you can track trends over time.

How accurate is this scale for everyday tracking?

The scale uses high-precision sensors to deliver fine increments, making it suitable for tracking gradual changes. It reports weights in pounds, kilograms or stones and adjusts resolution depending on range to balance sensitivity and stability.

• Maximum capacity: 400 lb / 180 kg / 28 st
• Increments: as small as 0.05 lb (0.02 kg) for finer readings under 10 kg and 0.1 lb (0.05 kg) above
• Tempered glass platform for stable measurements
• High-resolution sensors developed from over a decade of experience

What features does the companion app add to measurements?

The free VeSync app stores history, generates progress charts and suggests personalized diet and exercise plans based on your data. It also syncs automatically with popular fitness ecosystems so your weight and body metrics appear across other health tools.

• Connects with Apple Health, Samsung Health, Google Fit, FitBit and MyFitnessPal
• Unlimited user profiles and automatic recognition of household members
• Personalized plans and trend graphs within the VeSync app
• Optional Alexa integration for voice queries (app-dependent)

Are there special modes for babies, small items, or safety concerns?

The scale includes multiple weighing modes to broaden its use: Baby Mode helps record growth, a Zero-Current Mode offers a low-electrical option, and a light-items mode weighs objects down to about 100 g. It’s a home device, not intended for professional athlete testing.

• Baby Mode to track infant or small-pet growth over time
• Zero-Current Mode for users who prefer minimized electrical output
• Light-items mode measures objects from roughly 100 g upward
• Not designed for clinical or elite-athlete diagnostics

What are the physical specs and setup requirements?

The slim scale measures 11 x 11 x 1.1 inches and ships with three AAA batteries preinstalled for immediate use. Pairing requires a smartphone running iOS 12.0+ or Android 6.0+; features may evolve as the app updates.

• Dimensions: 11 x 11 x 1.1 in (28 x 28 x 2.9 cm)
• Powers on with 3 x 1.5V AAA batteries (pre-installed)
• Works with iOS® 12.0+ and Android™ 6.0+ (app features may change)
• FSA/HSA eligible—check plan rules before purchase
