Farnam Repel-X Ready-to-Use Horse Fly Spray 946 ml — Kills & Repels Flies, Gnats, Ticks

Farnam Repel-X Ready-to-Use is a 32 fl oz spray that kills and repels flies, gnats, mosquitoes and ticks on horses and around the barn without mixing.

Designed for everyday equine use, this convenient spray delivers broad-spectrum insect control straight from the bottle. Its formula kills flies on contact and helps repel biting pests, making it practical for turnout, grooming, trailering and stable use. The 32-ounce spray is ideal for regular application and pairs with Farnam’s other fly-management tools to keep animals and facilities more comfortable during fly season.

How quickly does Repel-X start working?

Repel-X begins to kill flies on contact and provides an immediate repellent effect against biting insects. Results vary with pest pressure and environmental conditions, but you’ll notice fewer flies soon after application.

• Fast-acting contact kill on common fly species
• Repellent action reduces biting and landing
• Visible relief within minutes under normal conditions

How do I apply this spray safely to horses and around the barn?

Use the ready-to-use trigger to apply evenly over the horse’s body, avoiding eyes and mucous membranes. Spray on tack, stall surfaces or fences to reduce nearby fly populations, following label directions for safe, responsible use.

• Apply directly to coat for full-coverage protection
• Avoid spraying on the face, eyes, or open wounds
• Use in well-ventilated areas and follow label precautions

How long does protection last and how often should I reapply?

Under moderate conditions, reapply every three to four days for ongoing protection; reapply sooner during heavy fly pressure or after heavy sweating and rain. Consistent application keeps nuisance insects at bay and helps maintain equine comfort.

• Every 3–4 days for routine coverage in normal conditions
• More frequent application during heavy infestation or after bathing
• Integrate with other Farnam products for seasonal control

Can I use this on animals other than horses or on surfaces around the barn?

Yes — Repel-X is suitable for use on horses, dogs and some livestock and can be sprayed around stalls, fences and equipment to lower fly numbers. Always check the product label for species-specific directions and restrictions before applying to animals other than horses.

• Approved for horses and dogs; follow label for other livestock
• Safe for treating barn and pasture areas when used as directed
• Complements feed-through, masks and traps for integrated control
