Filtrete 20x20x1 Air Filter MERV 13 MPR 1900, 2-Pack Pleated 1" Filters — High Microparticle Capture & Better Airflow

Filtrete 20x20x1 MERV 13 (MPR 1900) is a two-filter pack of pleated 1" HVAC filters engineered to capture microscopic and larger airborne particles while maintaining higher airflow than other residential MERV 13 options.

This Filtrete set, made by 3M, combines a high MPR (1900) and MERV 13 rating with the brand’s 3-in-1 pleated media to trap a wide range of contaminants—from lint and pollen to pet dander and many microparticles—without overly restricting your furnace or air conditioner airflow. Each filter is sized for common home systems (actual 19.62 x 19.62 x 0.78 inches) and is intended for residential HVAC use with recommended replacement every 90 days for steady performance. The design balances particle capture and system efficiency, and works with the Filtrete Smart App for simple change reminders.

How does this Filtrete filter balance filtration and airflow?

The filter uses pleated media and an optimized fiber layout to trap particles while letting conditioned air flow through efficiently. Filtrete reports that this MPR 1900 product provides higher airflow than other retail MERV 13 1" residential filters, helping reduce strain on many HVAC systems.

• MERV 13 rating for finer particle capture.
• MPR 1900 measurement emphasizes microscopic particle performance.
• Pleated 1" construction maintains usable airflow for home systems.
• Designed to fit common 20x20 filter slots (actual size slightly under 20" for easy installation).

What kinds of particles will these filters remove from indoor air?

These Filtrete filters are engineered to collect a broad spectrum of airborne material. They capture large debris like dust and pollen and also have measurable efficiency for microparticles that can include certain bacteria-carrying particles and smoke-sized aerosols.

• Large particles: dust, lint, pet hair, pollen, mold spores.
• Smaller particulates: pet dander, smoke, and many microparticles 0.3–1.0 micron.
• Measured microparticle capture rate to support cleaner indoor air.
• Certified asthma- and allergy-friendly as outlined by the referenced certification.

How often should I change these AC/furnace filters and how can I remember?

Filtrete recommends replacing this pleated 1" filter every 90 days for typical residential use. Conditions such as pets, high dust, or heavy seasonal allergens may require more frequent replacement to maintain both air quality and HVAC efficiency.

• Standard replacement interval: every 90 days (3 months).
• Use the Filtrete Smart App to scan the barcode and set 30/60/90-day reminders.
• Shorten intervals if you notice visible dust buildup or reduced airflow.
• Regular changes help preserve heating and cooling system performance.

Will this filter work in my furnace or air conditioner?

Yes—these filters are built for residential HVAC systems, including furnaces and central air units that accept 1" pleated filters. Always confirm your system accepts a 20 x 20 x 1 size and that the actual dimensions (19.62 x 19.62 x 0.78 in) will fit the filter slot without forcing or gaps.

• Actual dimensions listed to ensure correct fit: 19.62 x 19.62 x 0.78 in.
• Intended for residential HVAC/furnace/AC filter slots that accept 1" pleats.
• Not designed for commercial or industrial units with different filter requirements.
• Fits most standard 20x20 housings when installed correctly.

Who is this for: This two-pack of Filtrete 20x20x1 MERV 13 (MPR 1900) filters is aimed at homeowners who want stronger particle capture than basic filters but still need good airflow for their HVAC system. It’s a practical choice for families with pets, seasonal allergies, or anyone seeking improved indoor air cleanliness without upgrading to thicker, higher-restriction filters. If you want app-assisted change reminders and a widely recommended consumer brand, these filters fit that profile. Remember to verify compatibility with your HVAC manufacturer’s specifications before installing.
