Filtrete 16x25x1 Air Filter MERV 14 (MPR 2800) — 2-Pack High-Efficiency Pleated Filter for HVAC

These Filtrete Premium Allergen & Ultrafine Particles filters are engineered to remove a wide range of microscopic and larger particles from household air without overly restricting airflow through your furnace or air conditioner. With Filtrete's proprietary 3-in-1 media, the filters balance filtration efficiency and service life so you can replace them on a predictable schedule and keep your system running efficiently.

How does this filter improve the air in my home?

The Filtrete MPR 2800 (MERV 14 equivalent) media is designed to attract and retain tiny particles like smoke, respiratory droplets, bacteria-carrying particles and pollen. It traps a high percentage of submicron particles while also capturing larger household dust and pet dander.

• Targets ultrafine particles (0.3–1.0 micron) with around 81% small-particle capture
• Captures pollen, lint, pet dander and household dust
• Combines electrokinetic attraction and pleated surface area for better hold

Will this filter work in my furnace or HVAC system?

Filtrete 1-inch pleated filters fit most residential furnaces, air handlers and HVAC return grilles that accept a 16x25x1 size. They are compatible with systems that recommend a higher-efficiency 1-inch disposable filter, but always verify your system manufacturer’s guidance for maximum MERV or pressure drop limits.

• Standard 16x25x1 size fits common return slots and housings
• Designed for 1-inch filter tracks in furnaces and central air systems
• Replace every 90 days (or sooner for high-dust/pet households) for best performance

How does this filter affect HVAC performance and operating costs?

High-efficiency pleated filters like this model balance capture efficiency and airflow. While denser media captures more microsized particles, changing the filter at recommended intervals prevents excessive pressure drop that could strain the system and raise energy use.

• Pleated design increases surface area to reduce restriction compared with flat media
• Regular replacement preserves airflow and system efficiency
• Helps avoid clogged filters that force the system to work harder and consume more energy

What certifications and ratings does the Filtrete MPR 2800 have?

This Filtrete filter carries an MPR (Microparticle Performance Rating) of 2800, which corresponds to a MERV 14-level performance for capturing a wide spectrum of particle sizes. It is also certified asthma & allergy friendly under the listed report, reflecting testing against standard protocols.

• MPR 2800 indicating advanced microparticle capture
• MERV 14 equivalent efficiency for small particles
• Certified asthma & allergy friendly according to the referenced certification report

Who is this for? Homeowners looking to reduce airborne allergens, fine particulates and common household debris will benefit from the Filtrete 16x25x1 MPR 2800 filters. They’re a good fit for people with pets, seasonal allergies, or anyone who wants a higher-efficiency disposable 1-inch filter that balances capture performance and system airflow. Choose the two-pack to keep a spare on hand and maintain scheduled changes every 90 days—or sooner in heavy-use environments.
