Fluker's Tortoise Diet Large Pellet Food — Land Turtle Formula 1.59 kg, Extra Calcium & Vitamins

Fluker's Tortoise Diet Large Pellet Food is a vitamin-enriched, floating pellet formula designed to deliver balanced nutrition and added calcium for tortoises and land turtles.

Formulated to simplify feeding while supporting steady growth and shell maintenance, these large pellets combine proteins, vitamins, and minerals in an easy-to-serve shape. The 3.5 lb bag supplies a consistent staple that works for a variety of species — from young hatchlings to adult box turtles and sulcata — and is made to appeal to picky eaters while reducing mess. Pellets float for convenient tabletop or shallow-water feeding, and the recipe includes extra calcium, Vitamin C, and B12 to supplement a varied diet.

How will this pellet formula fit into my tortoise's daily feeding routine?

These pellets are intended as a core component of a balanced feeding plan. Offer measured portions according to your turtle's size and age, and combine pellets with fresh greens and occasional protein or forage items for variety. Floating pellets make it easy to monitor intake and remove uneaten food promptly.

• Feed 1–2 times daily for juveniles; adults can be fed once daily or every other day depending on condition.
• Use pellets alongside dark leafy greens, vegetables, and calcium-rich supplements.
• Floating pellets allow quick cleanup and observation of consumption.

What nutrients are included and how do they support growth?

The formula supplies proteins, vitamins, and minerals to help maintain body condition and promote healthy development. Added calcium supports shell strength while Vitamin C and B12 contribute to general vitality and metabolic balance. These nutrients are not a replacement for gut-loaded insects or fresh forage but help ensure consistent baseline nutrition.

• Added calcium helps maintain shell and bone health when combined with UVB exposure.
• Vitamin C supports overall wellbeing; B12 assists with nutrient processing.
• Protein content supports growth in juveniles and tissue maintenance in adults.

Which species and life stages are best suited for this diet?

Fluker's Land Turtle Formula is made to be versatile across many terrestrial chelonian species. It’s suitable for box turtles, red-foot tortoises, sulcata hatchlings and juveniles, and other land-dwelling turtles that accept pellets as part of their diet. Adjust portion sizes for species-specific caloric needs and monitor weight and shell condition.

• Appropriate for hatchlings through adults of many land turtle species.
• Use caution with species requiring very low-protein or specialized diets — supplement thoughtfully.
• Observe eating habits and tailor feeding frequency to individual animals.

How do I store and serve the pellets for best freshness and nutrition?

Store the sealed bag in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to protect vitamins and prevent clumping. Serve measured portions in a shallow dish or shallow water so pellets float and remain clean; remove any leftovers after feeding to avoid spoilage. Check the bag date and rotate stock to ensure peak nutrient levels.

• Keep in cool, dry storage; reseal bag after each use.
• Offer in a shallow bowl or tray so pellets float for visibility and cleanliness.
• Discard stale or damp pellets and replace with fresh supply.
