GE MWF Refrigerator Water Filter Pack of 2 — Genuine Replacement, Reduces Lead & Microplastics

The GE MWF™ is a genuine, NSF-certified refrigerator water filter (pack of 2) that reduces lead, microplastics, PFOA/PFOS and 50+ other contaminants to improve household drinking water quality.

GE Appliances designed the MWF replacement filter to fit select French-door and side-by-side refrigerators from GE, GE Profile, Café and Monogram. Each filter is independently tested to meet NSF/ANSI standards and built to the same specifications as the original equipment so your appliance performs as intended. This two-pack gives you an immediate spare for routine replacement and helps maintain consistent filtration between changes.

How does the GE MWF improve water and ice taste?

The MWF reduces chlorine taste and odor along with multiple trace contaminants that can affect flavor. By capturing compounds such as chlorine and certain organic residues, water and ice produced by your refrigerator will taste cleaner and fresher.

• Certified to reduce chlorine taste and odor for better drinking water
• Reduces microplastics and select pharmaceuticals that can alter flavor
• Designed for refrigerator water and ice dispensers to ensure consistent delivery

Which impurities does this filter actually remove?

The GE MWF is certified to reduce over 50 listed impurities, including lead, arsenic, microplastics, PFOA/PFOS, and several trace pharmaceuticals. Note that not all of these contaminants are present in every water supply; certification verifies the filter’s reduction capabilities under standard test conditions.

• Lead, arsenic, and chlorine among the common reductions
• Microplastics and select pharmaceuticals such as ibuprofen and atenolol
• PFOA/PFOS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances) included in tested reductions

How easy is installation and replacement?

Installing the MWF requires no tools and no water shutoff—most users can complete the swap in minutes. GE recommends replacing the filter every six months to maintain peak performance; having a two-pack means you’re prepared for the next replacement cycle.

• Tool-free installation—twist and lock into the factory housing
• Six-month recommended service life per filter for consistent performance
• Subscribe & Save options available for automatic replacements

Will this filter fit my refrigerator model?

The MWF is engineered to match GE factory specifications and fits many GE French-door and side-by-side units, including GE, GE Profile, Café, and Monogram lines. Always check your refrigerator’s owner manual or existing filter model number to confirm compatibility before purchase.

• Compatible with many GE family refrigerators—designed for a guaranteed fit
