Designed to balance low weight, compactness, and supportive comfort, the Ether sleeping pad fits into minimalist packs without sacrificing sleep quality. Built from 20D nylon with TPU coating and an anti-leak valve system, it inflates quickly using a detachable foot pump and offers contoured support for side and back sleepers. Every unit is pre-tested and ships with a repair kit and a lifetime replacement promise, making it a dependable choice for multi-day adventures.

How quickly can I set up the Ether sleeping pad?

Inflation is fast and lung-free: use the detachable foot pump sack, attach it to the valve, and fill the pad in under 90 seconds. The smart Anti-Leak Valve System lets you fine-tune firmness and then seal the pad securely for overnight use.

• Includes detachable foot pump for inflation without breathing into the pad
• Anti-Leak Valve System for rapid inflate/adjust/seal/deflate cycle
• Typical inflation time: under 90 seconds with pump sack

Will the Ether be comfortable and stable on uneven ground?

Yes—its ErgoCushion U-shape design provides varying edge-to-center thickness that cradles the body and prevents sliding during sleep. With 3.35" thickness at the sides tapering to 2.36" in the center, the pad balances cushioning and surface stability for side and back sleepers.

• Contoured ErgoCushion profile reduces pressure points
• 3.35" edge height to 2.36" center thickness for secure positioning
• Rated up to 440 lb load capacity for robust support

How durable and weather-ready is this air mattress for camping?

Constructed from heavy-duty 20D nylon with a TPU water-resistant coating, the Ether is built to resist abrasion and light moisture. Each pad is tested before shipping, includes a repair kit, and is backed by Gear Doctors' hassle-free Lifetime Replacement to keep you moving through seasons.

• 20D nylon + TPU coating for abrasion and water resistance
• Pre-shipped quality testing and included repair kit
• Lifetime Replacement policy for long-term use

How compact and packable is the Ether for backpacking?

When deflated and rolled, the Ether compresses to roughly 8.6" height × 3.1" diameter—about the size of a standard water bottle—making it easy to strap to a pack or tuck inside. At 17.5 oz, it’s one of the lighter inflatable sleeping pads that still offers full-length coverage and high load capacity.

• Packed dimensions: 8.6" × 3.1" — water-bottle-sized convenience
• Weight: 17.5 oz, suitable for lightweight backpacking
• Full-length inflated size: 76" × 25" for adult sleepers

Who is this for: The Gear Doctors Ether sleeping pad is made for hikers, backpackers, and travelers seeking a true ultralight sleeping solution that doesn’t compromise on support. It’s ideal for side and back sleepers who need a compact mattress with quick setup, resilient materials, and the reassurance of a repair kit plus lifetime replacement—perfect for weekend trips, thru-hikes, and car-camping when pack space and weight matter.
