Genie Wireless Keyless Keypad GK-R — White PIN Entry, Intellicode Security & Backlit Buttons

Install a simple, weather-resistant control that lets family members, service professionals, and guests enter your garage without a physical key. The Genie GK-R keypad uses Intellicode rolling-code security and auto-seek dual frequency (315/390 MHz) to pair with Genie openers made since 1995, and its illuminated buttons make night-time entry straightforward. It mounts easily with included hardware and supports temporary PINs when you need restricted short-term access.

How does this keypad keep my garage entry secure?

The Genie keypad uses Intellicode rolling-code technology that changes the access code after every use, reducing the risk of code theft or replay attacks. Combining that with dual-frequency auto-seek increases reliable communication while maintaining security.

• Intellicode rolling-code automatically updates the access sequence after each use.
• Compatible with Intellicode 1 and Intellicode 2 Genie openers for broad security coverage.
• Dual-frequency (315/390 MHz) helps avoid interference that could disrupt pairing or signals.

Will the keypad work with my existing Genie garage door opener?

Yes — the GK-R is designed to work with all Genie Intellicode garage door openers manufactured since 1995, including single- and dual-frequency models. It can operate up to three separate openers, so one keypad can control multiple doors if needed.

• Compatible with Genie Intellicode openers (1995 and newer).
• Supports single- and dual-frequency Genie openers for flexible pairing.
• Controls up to three separate garage door openers from a single keypad.

How easy is installation, programming, and everyday use?

Mounting requires only the included screws and basic tools; programming follows the included user guide for quick setup with your Genie opener. The keypad’s flip-up cover protects controls from weather, while large backlit buttons make entering codes fast and clear, even at night.

• Simple surface-mount installation with screws provided.
• Backlit keys allow legible entry in low light conditions.
• Flip-up cover shields buttons from rain and sun when not in use.

Can I give temporary access to service people or guests?

Yes — the GK-R supports setting temporary PINs so you can grant limited-time access without sharing your primary code. Temporary PINs can be programmed and later removed, helping you manage short-term entry securely.

• Create temporary codes for repair workers, cleaners, or pet sitters.
• Temporary PINs do not compromise your permanent family code.
• Refer to the manual for steps to add or delete temporary access codes.

Who is this for: The Genie GK-R Wireless Keypad is ideal for homeowners and property managers who want secure key-free access to garages controlled by Genie Intellicode openers. It suits households needing night-friendly illumination, people who regularly provide temporary access to others, and anyone seeking an easy-install accessory compatible with Genie openers since 1995.
