Graco Extend2Fit Convertible Car Seat — Gotham, 4-position extension for extra rear-facing legroom

This Gotham-colored Graco seat converts from rear-facing (4–50 lb) to forward-facing (26.5–65 lb) and combines an adjustable extension panel with easy harness adjustments and modern safety engineering. It’s built to give families a longer rear-facing window, simpler everyday use, and a compact footprint that fits most vehicles while meeting Graco’s ProtectPlus engineered testing.

How does the extension panel help my child ride rear-facing longer?

The Extend2Fit model includes a 4-position extension panel that increases rear-facing legroom by as much as 5 inches. More legroom lets taller or rapidly growing children remain rear-facing within the seat’s weight and height limits, aligning with recommendations to keep kids rear-facing as long as possible.

• Adjustable extension panel with four settings for incremental legroom
• Supports rear-facing use up to 50 lb for longer duration
• Adds room without significantly increasing overall seat length

What makes daily use and installation easier for caregivers?

Graco simplified both installation and harnessing. The InRight LATCH system clicks into place quickly for a one-second attach, and the No-Rethread Simply Safe Adjust harness allows the headrest and harness to move together so you don’t have to re-thread as your child grows.

• InRight LATCH for fast, reliable attachment
• No-Rethread harness and headrest adjust in one motion
• Harness storage pockets keep straps out of the way when loading and unloading

What safety features are included and what do they mean?

The seat is Graco ProtectPlus Engineered to meet current frontal and side impact testing standards while incorporating additional design considerations for everyday protection. While no product can guarantee outcomes, this engineering reflects tests beyond baseline requirements to address multiple crash scenarios.

• ProtectPlus engineered design for frontal, side, rear, and rollover protection considerations
• Secure harness system with multiple height positions for proper fit
• Sturdy shell and energy-absorbing materials to manage impact forces

How does the seat grow with my child from infancy to toddlerhood?

The seat transitions from a rear-facing harness for infants to a forward-facing harness for older toddlers. Weight limits and adjustability let you customize fit and comfort through the stages, reducing the need to buy multiple seats as your child grows.

• Rear-facing harness range: 4–50 lb
• Forward-facing harness range: 26.5–65 lb
• Multiple headrest and harness positions to maintain proper fit over time

Who is this for? The Graco Extend2Fit is aimed at caregivers who want an all-in-one convertible seat that supports extended rear-facing, straightforward daily use, and trusted engineering. It’s a solid choice for families who plan to maximize rear-facing safety time without sacrificing easy installation and harness adjustments. Ideal for parents adding a versatile seat to a baby registry or anyone replacing an infant carrier with a longer-lasting convertible solution.
