hand2mind Numberblocks Blockzee Balance Activity Set, Ages 3+, 61 MathLink Cubes & Visual Learning

The hand2mind Numberblocks Blockzee Balance is an interactive balance toy that uses clear buckets, MathLink Cubes, and character-led activities to teach number comparison, counting, and simple addition for ages 3+.

Bring the TV-favorite Numberblocks character Blockzee into hands-on math exploration. This officially licensed set combines a sturdy visual balance with 61 MathLink Cubes, double-sided activity cards, and teacher-friendly accessories so young children can see, build, and compare quantities. The design emphasizes visual cues—Blockzee's eyes and mouth move toward the larger side—so learners connect physical movement with number relationships without relying on words.

How does Blockzee help children understand bigger, smaller, and equal?

Blockzee provides an immediate visual indicator of which side has more. As children add cubes to each bucket, Blockzee’s eyes, arms, and mouth orient toward the heavier side, reinforcing the concept of greater than, less than, and equal to through play.

• Clear buckets show exact cube counts for easy comparison
• Visual character cues link quantity to directionality
• Hands-on cubes encourage tactile counting and verification
• Activity cards scaffold comparisons from simple to more complex

What learning activities are included and how do they build skills?

The set includes 10 double-sided activity cards (20 activities) that progress from identifying numbers to comparing and performing simple addition and subtraction. Each card uses colorful, language-free prompts so children can focus on quantities and operations without reading barriers.

• Number identification and one-to-one counting tasks
• Comparison challenges using the balance’s visual feedback
• Addition and subtraction practice with MathLink Cubes
• Open-ended play ideas for fine motor and reasoning practice

What comes in the set and how is it useful in classroom or home settings?

The package supplies everything needed for guided or independent play: one Blockzee Balance, two transparent buckets, 61 MathLink Cubes to build numbers one through ten, activity cards, a sticker sheet, a dry-erase marker, and an activity guide. The components are durable and classroom-ready for group demonstrations or small-group rotations.

• 61 MathLink Cubes — build quantities for each activity
• Dry-erase marker and stickers — customize and reuse cards
• Sturdy balance — suitable for repeated classroom use
• Clear, visual items — support mixed-age learners and ELLs

How does this set support fine motor and independent play?

Picking up, linking, and placing MathLink Cubes strengthens hand-eye coordination and precision. Character-driven tasks encourage repeated attempts and cooperative play, helping children practice fine motor skills while solving number problems independently or with peers.

• MathLink Cubes require linking for secure builds
• Small parts promote pincer and bilateral coordination
• Character cues make practice playful and motivating
• Cards support self-guided or teacher-led sessions
