Healthworks Superfoods Organic Cacao Butter 454 g — Raw Unrefined, Cold-Pressed for Baking & Skincare

Healthworks Superfoods Organic Cacao Butter is a raw, unrefined, 1 lb block of pure cacao fat ideal for baking, cooking, and skincare formulations.

This single-ingredient cacao butter is cold-pressed from organic cacao beans sourced from small, sustainable farms. With a subtle chocolate aroma, a creamy texture, and clean ingredient integrity, it serves as a versatile base for homemade chocolate, keto-friendly recipes, and natural beauty products. Because it is unrefined and non-GMO, the butter preserves delicate compounds found in the bean while remaining neutral enough to blend into both sweet and savory creations.

How will this cacao butter change my baking and chocolate-making?

Unrefined cacao butter gives finished chocolates and confections a smooth mouthfeel and a stable, glossy finish without the use of dairy. It melts at body temperature, which provides a silky texture in truffles, bars, and ganache. Use it to temper homemade chocolate, replace dairy butter for a richer cocoa profile, or thin out cacao paste for pouring.

• Add 5–20% cacao butter to cacao mass for a smoother chocolate viscosity.
• Use in keto or dairy-free recipes as a butter substitute for fat content and texture.
• Combine with coconut oil and sweetener to create pourable chocolate sauces.
• Solidifies with a glossy snap when cooled properly for molded chocolates.

Can I use this product in skincare and homemade cosmetics?

Yes — this cacao butter is commonly used in lotions, lip balms, and body butters because of its emollient properties and gentle chocolate scent. As an unrefined plant fat, it blends well with carrier oils and essential oils and creates a protective, moisturizing layer on skin. It’s an especially good base for dry-skin formulations and leave-on products.

• Melt a small amount into shea or coconut butter for richer body creams.
• Blend with beeswax and oils to make long-lasting lip balms and salves.
• Create whipped body butter by cooling and aerating the melted mix.
• Store in a cool, dark place to preserve aroma and texture for cosmetics use.

What nutritional or dietary benefits does this cacao butter offer?

As a concentrated plant fat, cacao butter supplies healthy fats and fat-soluble nutrients and contains naturally occurring antioxidants. It is free from dairy and gluten, making it suitable for vegan, paleo, and keto lifestyles when used as a fat source. Because it’s unrefined and organic, it maintains a mild chocolate fragrance and natural constituents without added ingredients.

• Keto- and low-carb compatible as a pure fat with no added sugars.
• Vegan and non-GMO, sourced from organic cacao beans.
• Contains fat-soluble nutrients such as naturally occurring vitamin E and theobromine traces.
• Ideal for clean-eating recipes where minimal processing is desired.

How should I store and work with raw cacao butter at home?

Keep cacao butter in a cool, dry, dark place to avoid rancidity and to preserve aroma. It’s solid at room temperature but melts easily when warmed; use a double boiler for controlled melting and avoid overheating to protect delicate compounds. When incorporating into recipes, measure by weight for consistent results and temper for glossy chocolate finishes.

• Store in an airtight container away from heat and light.
• Melt gently over a double boiler; avoid direct high heat.
• Use a kitchen scale for accurate portions in baking and chocolates.
• Allow melted mixtures to cool gradually for best texture and stability.
