Hi-Yield triclopyr ester lawn weed killer concentrate 227 g — controls oxalis & wild violet in cool-season turf

Hi-Yield (35261) Triclopyr Ester is an 8 oz liquid concentrate formulated to suppress bluegrass and selectively control actively growing broadleaf weeds in compatible cool-season ornamental turf.

This compact bottle contains a concentrated triclopyr ester formula designed for targeted management of troublesome broadleaf species such as oxalis and wild violet in specific turf types. It’s intended for use on select cool-season lawns—perennial bluegrass, perennial ryegrass and tall fescue—when applied according to label directions. The product is not for use on several warm-season or fine grasses, so accurate identification of your turf type and careful reading of the application instructions are essential before use.

How does this concentrate control broadleaf weeds in my lawn?

The active ingredient, triclopyr ester, is absorbed by leaves and moves through the plant to disrupt growth in actively growing broadleaf species. It targets broadleaf weeds while minimizing injury to listed turfgrasses when mixed and applied at labeled rates. Proper timing during active weed growth improves performance and reduces the need for repeat applications.

• Targets oxalis and wild violet among other broadleaf weeds
• Systemic activity moves through the foliage to root crown
• Most effective on actively growing weeds in cool-season turf

Which turfgrasses are safe to treat with this product?

Use Hi-Yield Triclopyr Ester on perennial bluegrass, perennial ryegrass and tall fescue as listed on the label. It is explicitly not labeled for use on Bahiagrass, Bentgrass, bermudagrass, Centipedegrass, St. Augustine, or Zoysiagrass, so avoid treating those lawn types. Always confirm your grass species and follow mix rates and restrictions detailed on the product label.

• Approved: perennial bluegrass, perennial ryegrass, tall fescue
• Not approved: Bahiagrass, Bentgrass, bermudagrass, Centipede, St. Augustine, Zoysia
• Read label for species-specific application guidance

How should I mix and apply the 8 oz bottle to get reliable results?

The 8 oz liquid concentrate is intended for dilution before application; the exact rate depends on lawn type, coverage area and weed species. Use calibrated spray equipment and measure carefully to avoid overapplication. Follow label directions for water volume, surfactant use and any re-entry or watering restrictions to ensure safety and product effectiveness.

• Measure and dilute per label-specified rates for your turf and weed type
• Apply with a calibrated handheld or pump sprayer for even coverage
• Observe label precautions for re-entry, irrigation, and tank-mix guidance

What limitations or cautions should I know before using this herbicide?

This product is selective and must not be used on non-listed grasses or ornamental plants susceptible to triclopyr damage. Avoid drift to desirable plants, and do not apply under conditions that could cause off-target movement. Always consult the label for safety, personal protective equipment requirements and environmental precautions.

• Do not apply to listed excluded grass species or sensitive ornamentals
• Prevent spray drift and avoid windy application conditions
• Follow PPE and storage/disposal instructions on the product label
