HoldOn Compostable Tall Kitchen Drawstring Bags are 13-gallon, BPI-certified, plant-based trash liners designed to be strong, leak-resistant, and industrially compostable.

These tall kitchen bags from HoldOn combine plant-derived materials and engineered reinforcement to replace traditional plastic liners without sacrificing durability. Each box contains 40 drawstring bags sized at 24" x 27", made for most standard tall household bins as well as small outdoor cans. They’re triple-ply with flexible drawstring handles and are certified for industrial composting, offering an alternative for households seeking lower-impact waste options.

How durable are these compostable bags for everyday kitchen use?

HoldOn designed these bags with a multi-way flex material and a triple-ply construction to minimize rips and leaks during normal use. The flexible drawstring grip helps the bag stay secured to the bin while you load soft or heavy waste.

• Triple-ply film resists punctures and reduces leakage.
• Multi-way flex material improves tear resistance under stress.
• Reinforced drawstrings secure the bag to standard tall bins.

Are these bags really compostable and what does certification mean?

HoldOn bags are made from compostable ingredients including plant-based renewables and are BPI certified for industrial compostability. Certification means they’ve been tested to meet established standards for breakdown in industrial compost facilities, though availability of such facilities varies by region.

• BPI Certified to industry compostability standards.
• Made with plant-based materials such as cornstarch to avoid microplastics.
• Not designed for backyard composting—check local industrial composting options.

What size and capacity do these bags fit, and how many come per box?

Each HoldOn bag measures 24" x 27" and holds approximately 13 gallons, making them a match for most standard tall kitchen trash cans. The box contains 40 bags, providing a month or more of supply for many households depending on usage.

• Dimensions: 24" x 27" for standard tall kitchen bins.
• Capacity: approx. 13 gallons per bag.
• Quantity: 40 bags per box for regular household turnover.

How should I store and use these bags to keep them strong?

To preserve the compostable material’s strength, store HoldOn bags in a cool, dry place away from prolonged heat and humidity. Drain excess liquids from wet waste and remove full bags every 2–3 days to maintain tear resistance and freshness.

• Store in cool, dry conditions to avoid material degradation.
• Drain or wrap liquid-heavy waste to reduce strain on the bag.
• Regularly remove full bags every few days for best performance.
