HOMOTEK Privacy Sliding Door Lock with Pull — Black, Fits 1-3/8" Doors, Reversible Mortise-Style

HOMOTEK Privacy Sliding Door Lock with Pull is a reversible, non-handed pocket-door latch that replaces damaged sliding-door locks quickly and provides smooth privacy operation for 1-3/8" thick doors.

This compact, durable lock assembly is built for easy replacement of old pocket-lock hardware without changing the door. Constructed from stainless steel and zinc with a black finish option, the unit combines a wide, easy-grip pull with a reliable mortise-style mechanism. It comes with reversible faceplates and all mounting hardware, so you can install it on left- or right-handed pocket doors in minutes.

How does this lock make replacing a worn pocket-door latch simpler?

HOMOTEK designed the lock to match common pocket-door mortise sizes so you can drop it in where an old latch sits. The kit includes instructions and all screws, reducing the need for extra parts or cutting. Because the faceplate is reversible, it fits either door orientation without extra drilling.

• Fits 1-3/8" door thickness — standard pocket door compatibility
• Reversible faceplates for left/right installation
• Included screws and template for faster setup
• Mortise-style design aligns with most existing openings

Will this lock hold up to daily use in bathrooms or bedrooms?

The mechanism uses stainless steel and zinc components that resist wear and provide consistent operation over time. The wide pull keeps gripping comfortable for frequent use, and the privacy function gives dependable closure without complex parts to fail.

• Stainless steel latch and zinc housing for strength
• Wide, ergonomic pull for easy operation
• Simple internal design reduces maintenance needs
• Available in finishes that resist fingerprints and blend with décor

What installation steps should I expect and how long will it take?

Installation typically takes 20–40 minutes for someone with basic tools and DIY experience. You replace the existing mortise lock by removing the old hardware, sliding the HOMOTEK unit into the pocket, aligning the faceplate, and securing the screws included in the package.

• No need to alter the door size if replacing similar mortise hardware
• Clear instructions and hardware included for straightforward setup
• Reversible configuration avoids repositioning the door
• Typical tools needed: screwdriver, chisel (if minor adjustments required)

Which finish and door types are compatible with this product?
