IRON OUT Outdoor Rust Stain Remover — 3.79 L Concrete & Vinyl Cleaner, Fast-Acting Ready-to-Use

IRON OUT Outdoor is a ready-to-use liquid that dissolves rust stains from concrete, vinyl and other exterior surfaces without scrubbing.

Whether rust has streaked your driveway, stained a patio, or discolored vinyl siding, this professional-strength, pre-mixed formula is designed for outdoor use and applied straight from a tank sprayer, roller or cloth. The product is formulated to work quickly on contact and is labeled vegetation-friendly when used according to instructions, making it practical for cleaning surfaces near plants and lawns. Made in the USA by Summit Brands, IRON OUT builds on more than six decades of rust-removal experience and includes a satisfaction guarantee.

How does IRON OUT Outdoor remove rust stains without scrubbing?

The formulation contains active ingredients that chemically break down iron oxide so stains lift and rinse away rather than relying on abrasive effort. After application and a short dwell time the dissolved rust can be washed off with water, often removing the need for vigorous scrubbing or power washing. For best results, follow the label directions and test a hidden area first.

• Pre-mixed liquid: apply directly from the gallon container or a sprayer.
• Fast acting: begins dissolving rust on contact.
• Rinse-off cleanup: removes stains without heavy scrubbing.
• Test-first recommendation: perform a small-area test on delicate substrates.

What surfaces can I treat with this rust remover?

IRON OUT Outdoor is formulated for a variety of exterior materials where rust commonly appears from iron runoff or metal fittings. It’s suitable for concrete, sidewalks, driveways, vinyl siding, decks, patios, fences, docks, boats, plastic and fiberglass—any outdoor surface compatible with the product’s directions. Avoid untreated or porous materials without testing, and follow safety guidance for any sensitive finishes.

• Concrete and cement: driveways, patios, sidewalks.
• Exterior building surfaces: vinyl siding, painted walls.
• Outdoor structures: fences, decks, docks, boats, fiberglass.
• Plastic and other nonporous materials: gentle on many surfaces when used correctly.

Is IRON OUT Outdoor safe to use around plants and how should I apply it?

The label indicates the formula is vegetation-friendly when applied as directed, but it’s still wise to protect delicate plants by wetting foliage with clean water before and after treatment or temporarily covering nearby vegetation. Application is straightforward: pour into a tank sprayer or use a cloth/roller for targeted spots, allow the product to work, then rinse thoroughly. Always wear recommended protective gear and follow the printed instructions for safe handling.

• Application methods: tank sprayer, cloth, or roller for spot work.
• Plant safety: rinse plants and test nearby areas first.
• Rinsing step: remove dissolved rust with water after dwell time.
• Protective measures: use gloves and eye protection as directed.

How durable and economical is the one-gallon ready-to-use size?

The one-gallon ready-to-use container is convenient for homeowners and professionals who want a no-mixing solution for multiple rust spots or larger exterior areas. Because the product is pre-mixed, you save time on preparation and can treat several applications quickly with a sprayer or by pouring into a smaller applicator. The performance guarantee from Summit Brands adds assurance that the product meets expected rust-removal results.

• Ready-to-use: no dilution or measuring needed.
• Multiple applications: covers many small to medium rust spots.
• Professional strength: suitable for homeowner or contractor use.
• Backed by a satisfaction guarantee from the manufacturer.
