Jafanda Air HEPA Air Purifier for Large Rooms JA280 — White, Washable Pre-Filter & Smart Sensing

The Jafanda Air JA280 is a certified HEPA home air purifier that cleans large rooms quickly, captures 99.97% of 0.3μm particles, and includes washable pre-filters plus smart sensing.

Designed for living rooms, open-plan spaces, and bedrooms, the JA280 combines AHAM-verified CADR performance with a three-stage filtration system and a washable pre-filter to reduce maintenance costs. Built-in sensors and Auto Mode react to air changes in real time while Sleep Mode keeps noise levels as low as 20 dB for undisturbed rest. Multiple certifications (AHAM, CARB, CE, FCC, RoHS) attest to safety and tested performance.

How fast and how large a space can this purifier handle?

The JA280 is AHAM-certified and rated with CADR values of 135 CFM for smoke, 143 CFM for dust, and 164 CFM for pollen. In one hour it can exchange air for areas up to 1,015 ft² and provides up to 4.8 air changes per hour in rooms around 209 ft².

• AHAM-tested CADR: 135 CFM (smoke) / 143 CFM (dust) / 164 CFM (pollen).
• Up to 1,015 ft² air cleaning in 60 minutes under AHAM conditions.
• Up to 4.8 air changes per hour in ~209 ft² rooms.

What filtration does it use and what contaminants are reduced?

This unit employs a HEPA 3-stage system with a washable pre-filter and a True HEPA main filter that captures particles down to 0.3 microns with 99.97% efficiency. The dual-sided intake improves airflow and filtration throughput, helping remove dust, pollen, smoke, pet dander, and many VOCs and odors.

• Washable pre-filter traps hair and larger debris to extend main filter life.
• True HEPA stage removes 99.97% of particles ≥0.3 μm.
• Activated-carbon stage helps adsorb odors from pets and cooking.

How does the smart sensing and modes improve everyday use?

A built-in PM2.5 sensor monitors air quality continuously and lets the purifier adjust fan speed automatically in Auto Mode. Choose from Low, Medium, High, Sleep, and use the aromatherapy feature for light scenting—Sleep Mode runs at whisper-quiet levels for night use.

• PM2.5 real-time air quality display for responsive control.
• Auto Mode adjusts fan speed to match air conditions.
• Sleep Mode as low as 20 dB for bedrooms and nurseries; three manual speeds available.

What maintenance should I expect and are replacement parts easy to get?

The washable pre-filter reduces the frequency of replacing the main True HEPA filter; Jafanda recommends changing the primary filter every 4–6 months depending on use. For consistent performance, use genuine Jafanda replacement filters available through the indicated retailer SKU.

• Washable pre-filter for pet hair and large particles—rinse and dry before reuse.
• Recommended main filter replacement: every 4–6 months based on usage.
• Use genuine Jafanda replacement filters (search ASIN B0GYNMGV4K).
