How strong and durable is the JCHL tow strap?

The strap is rated for a 20,000 lb break strength and is woven from high-tensile polyester fibers engineered to resist stretching and abrasion. Heavy-duty construction and reinforced stitching help maintain integrity under heavy loads while the bright color improves visibility during recovery operations.

• 2" width and 20' length for easy reach between vehicles
• 20,000 lb break strength for heavy-duty recovery tasks
• High-tensile polyester webbing resists wear and moisture
• Reinforced eyes and durable stitching for repeated use

What type of hooks and corrosion protection are included?

Two forged safety hooks with retaining clips are provided to secure attachment points quickly and safely. The hooks are zinc-coated to reduce rust and offer improved corrosion resistance compared with plain steel, extending service life even with outdoor storage.

• Forged hooks for higher strength and reliability
• Retaining clips help prevent accidental unhooking
• Zinc coating increases corrosion resistance
• Hook geometry fits common recovery points and tow eyes

How should I use and store the strap to maximize lifespan?

Use the strap for direct towing, as a winch extension, or as a tree-saver strap by routing around anchor points rather than over sharp edges. After use rinse off mud and grit, allow to dry, roll it neatly, and store it in the included bag out of direct sunlight to minimize UV degradation.

• Avoid dragging over sharp surfaces to prevent abrasion
• Rinse salt and mud off after off-road recoveries
• Roll and secure strap inside the supplied storage bag
• Inspect hooks and webbing before each use for safety
