Jiermadun Wasp Traps Outdoor Hanging — Solar-Powered UV Wasp Trap 4-Pack for Garden, Patio & Yard Protection

Jiermadun Wasp Traps Outdoor Hanging are solar-powered insect traps that lure, capture, and hold yellow jackets, hornets, and other wasps using bait, ultraviolet light, and dual-entry tunnels.

These hanging traps combine a simple bait-and-water capture method with an integrated solar panel and blue ultraviolet light to increase night attraction. Built from durable PP and stainless-steel components, the four-pack is intended for gardens, patios, orchards, and yards where flying stinging insects are a nuisance or hazard. The traps arrive empty — add a sweet liquid bait such as sugar water or diluted jam to activate them.

How do these traps catch wasps and hornets?

The design uses attraction, entry tunnels, and retention. Wasps are drawn to the sugary bait and the UV glow at dusk, enter through one-way tunnels, and then become trapped in the liquid reservoir or dehydrate inside the container.

• Dual-entry tunnels on opposite sides increase interception angles.
• Blue UV light powered by the solar panel boosts night-time visibility.
• Sweet bait like sugar water or honey lures target insects into the reservoir.
• Mesh and stainless-steel parts resist rusting and keep the unit sealed.

Where and how should I hang a Jiermadun trap for best results?

Place traps 5–10 feet from seating areas, play zones, or fruit trees and hang them 4–6 feet high where wasps naturally fly. Position with some sun exposure so the solar cell charges during daytime and the UV light operates after dusk.

• Hang in shaded flight paths near hive activity or ripening fruit.
• Avoid placing traps directly over dining tables to prevent attracting insects toward people.
• Use multiple traps around large yards for broader coverage.
• Refill bait weekly or when levels drop for steady performance.

What maintenance and safety steps should I follow?

Maintenance is straightforward: empty, rinse, and refill the trap periodically; inspect the solar panel and light; and replace any damaged hanging hardware. These traps are an eco-friendlier, non-chemical option to reduce stinging insect encounters when used responsibly.

• Wear gloves when emptying to avoid contact with trapped insects.
• Rinse with water and mild soap, then dry before refilling bait.
• Check solar panel for debris to ensure efficient charging.
• Store indoors during prolonged heavy storms or winter to prolong life.

Who is this for? Homeowners, gardeners, orchard managers, and anyone hosting outdoor gatherings who wants a low-maintenance, reusable way to reduce wasp, hornet, and yellow jacket activity around living spaces. The Jiermadun four-pack gives multiple placement options across a yard, requires only basic bait and sunlight to operate, and is built with corrosion-resistant materials for season-to-season use.

Note: Traps are sold without bait liquid. For best results, use a mixture of sugar water, fruit juice, or honey diluted with water as the attractant. Avoid using pesticides or toxic chemicals inside the trap; this product functions by physical capture and containment.
