Kaytee Hummingbird ElectroNectar Concentrate 2-Pack 454 g – Clear, Electrolyte-Enriched Nectar Makes 3.63 kg

Designed to imitate the sugars and mineral balance hummingbirds find in flowers, this concentrated formula mixes with water to produce ready-to-serve nectar without added red dye. The product comes as a convenient 2-pack of 16 oz bottles that together make up to 128 oz of prepared solution, so you can refill feeders frequently to keep the offering fresh and attractive. Because the concentrate is clear, it relies on feeder color rather than food dye to catch a hummingbird's attention.

How do I prepare Kaytee ElectroNectar for my feeder?

Mixing the concentrate is quick and simple: combine one part concentrate with 2.5 to 3 parts clean water, stir or gently shake until uniform, and pour into a cleaned feeder. Refrigerate any unused mixed nectar and discard after a few days if it becomes cloudy or fermenty. Regular cleaning before refilling helps reduce mold and bacteria buildup that can be harmful to birds.

• Mix ratio: 1 part concentrate to 2.5–3 parts water for correct sweetness
• Stir or gently shake to fully blend before pouring
• Refrigerate leftover solution and replace feeder liquid often
• Always clean feeder before refilling to maintain nectar quality

Why choose a clear, electrolyte formula over dyed nectar?

Kaytee's clear ElectroNectar avoids artificial red dye, which feeders use to attract hummingbirds rather than the food itself. This formula adds electrolytes to support active flight without relying on colorants. Choosing a clear nectar reduces unnecessary additives while still drawing hummingbirds to feeders with bright feeder parts or surrounding flowers.

• No artificial coloring—relies on feeder or flower color to attract birds
• Added electrolytes support energy needs during vigorous flying
• Concentrated bottles are space-saving and reduce packaging waste

How much product do I get and how long will it last?

Each 16 oz bottle of Kaytee ElectroNectar concentrate dilutes to roughly 64 oz of prepared nectar; the 2-pack yields about 128 oz total. How long that lasts depends on feeder size, number of visiting hummingbirds, and temperature. Hot weather and heavy use will require more frequent refills, so having a two-bottle supply helps you stay ahead of demand.

• One 16 oz bottle makes approximately 64 oz of prepared nectar
• Two bottles provide about 128 oz total—good for frequent refills
• Refill frequency increases in heat or with many visitors

What are the best practices for feeder hygiene and storage?

Maintaining a clean feeder and storing concentrate properly keeps nectar fresh and safer for birds. Wash feeders thoroughly with hot water between refills and inspect for cloudiness or fermentation. Seal the concentrate and refrigerate after opening to preserve quality.

• Clean feeders between fills with hot water; avoid harsh residues
• Discard prepared nectar if it appears cloudy, foamy, or smells off
• Refrigerate opened concentrate and keep cap tightly closed

Who is this for: Kaytee Hummingbird ElectroNectar Concentrate is ideal for backyard birders who want a dye-free, electrolyte-enhanced nectar that’s easy to store and mix. It suits people who refill feeders frequently, run multiple feeders, or prefer a concentrated option to reduce storage bulk. If you value clear ingredients, predictable mixing ratios, and a two-bottle supply for the hummingbird season, this product fits those needs without added colorants.
