Kenmore Cordless Stick Vacuum 16V — Lightweight 2-in-1 Handheld, 30-Min Runtime & LED Headlight

The Kenmore DS1020 (STRATUS) is a 16V cordless, bagless 2-in-1 stick vacuum with a detachable sub-3 lb handheld, up to 30 minutes runtime, and LED headlight for bright, versatile cleaning.

Designed for quick, everyday upkeep across floors and above-floor spaces, the Kenmore DS1020 blends cordless convenience with enough power for routine messes. Its slim, self-standing profile stores easily in small spaces while the swivel steering and LED headlight help you reach and see dirt in corners and under furniture. Two speed modes let you balance runtime and suction for different surfaces, and the included crevice and dusting brush tools expand its reach.

How long will the battery last during regular cleaning sessions?

On the low setting, the DS1020 provides up to 30 minutes of continuous cleaning, suitable for quick touch-ups and medium-sized areas. High mode delivers stronger suction for tougher debris but reduces runtime. The lightweight 16V rechargeable battery fully charges in under five hours using the supplied portable adapter.

• Up to 30 minutes runtime on Low mode
• Shorter runtime on High mode for increased suction
• Rechargeable 16V battery charges in less than 5 hours

What surfaces and messes does this vacuum handle well?

This stick is built for mixed floors—hardwood, tile, linoleum and low-pile carpet—plus quick cleanups of pet hair and crumbs. Swivel steering and a low-profile cleaning head navigate furniture and tight spots, while the LED headlight highlights hidden dust. Use the detachable handheld configuration and included tools for upholstery, stairs, and car interiors.

• Two speed settings adapt to hard floors and carpet
• Swivel steering reaches around furniture and obstacles
• Detachable hand vacuum plus crevice tool and dusting brush for above-floor tasks

How compact and portable is the unit for storage and stairs?

The vacuum’s self-standing, bagless design tucks into closets, utility rooms, or small apartments without a docking station. The detachable hand unit weighs under 3 pounds, making it easy to carry up and down stairs or lift for overhead cleaning. When not in use you can store and charge the vacuum in the same footprint to keep it ready.

• Self-standing bagless design for compact storage
• Handheld unit weighs less than 3 lbs for easy portability
• Charges while stored so it’s ready when you need it

What accessories and features improve visibility and reach?

The DS1020 includes a crevice tool and a dusting brush to extend cleaning reach into tight gaps and onto delicate surfaces. An LED headlight built into the floor head illuminates dark corners and edges, making it simpler to spot stubborn debris. The combination of accessories and maneuverability is geared toward thorough daily maintenance rather than heavy-duty deep cleaning.

• LED headlight on the cleaning head for shadowed areas
• Included crevice tool for narrow gaps and corners
• Dusting brush for delicate surfaces and vents

Who is this for? The Kenmore DS1020 is ideal for busy households, apartment dwellers, and anyone who needs a nimble, easy-to-store vacuum for routine upkeep. It’s well suited to homes with mixed flooring, pet owners who need frequent touch-ups, and people who prefer a lightweight handheld option for stairs, upholstery, and quick car cleanings. If you want a cordless, budget-conscious 2-in-1 that emphasizes portability and everyday convenience, this model fits the bill.
