Kidde Carbon Monoxide Detector AA Battery CO Alarm with Digital PPM Display, Portable

This compact Kidde CO alarm combines straightforward installation with useful digital readouts and safety features designed for everyday home use and travel. Running on AA batteries, the unit continuously measures carbon monoxide concentrations and updates its display every 15 seconds, while LED indicators and an 85-decibel alarm provide immediate notice if dangerous levels are detected. It’s UL certified and equipped with a peak-level memory, test/reset button and low-battery alerts to help you maintain reliable protection.

How does this alarm let me know carbon monoxide levels?

The detector uses an electrochemical sensor to measure CO and shows readings on a large digital screen in parts per million (PPM). It also records the highest level detected since the last reset so you can quickly assess past exposure.

• Digital display updates every 15 seconds, showing 30–999 PPM and detecting as low as 11 PPM.
• Peak-level memory stores the maximum concentration until manually reset.
• Red LED and 85-dB audible alarm activate when CO is present; green LED indicates normal power.

What makes installation and power management simple?

Designed for easy placement, this Kidde unit requires no wiring and runs on two AA batteries included in the package. The snap-on rear cover offers quick battery access while preventing the cover from closing without batteries installed, making swaps straightforward.

• No hardwiring or electrician needed; mounts on a wall or sits on a tabletop.
• Battery operation keeps monitoring active during blackouts and power interruptions.
• Low-battery chirp plus test/reset button lets you confirm operation and silence nuisance alerts.

How will this alarm fit into my home safety plan?

Place a CO detector on every level and outside sleeping areas to complement smoke alarms; this portable Kidde model is useful for permanent rooms or temporary locations like guest rooms and RVs. It’s UL listed and backed by a manufacturer warranty so you can integrate it confidently into a broader safety routine.

• Recommended for placement near bedrooms and on each home level for comprehensive coverage.
• Portable design works for travel, rentals or temporary living spaces.
• UL certification and a multi-year limited warranty provide product reliability signals.

What controls and maintenance should I expect?

The Kidde detector includes a test/reset button for routine checks and temporary silencing, plus a low-battery indicator to prompt replacement. The unit will also alert you when it reaches end-of-life service after several years of operation.

• Test/reset button checks the circuit and hushes low-battery chirps temporarily.
• Low-battery signal reminds you when AA cells need replacing; batteries are included for immediate use.
• End-of-life notification prompts unit replacement after the recommended service life.
