The KODAK PIXPRO FZ45 is a straightforward 16MP compact point-and-shoot camera with 4x optical zoom, 1080p video, a 2.7" LCD, and runs on two AA batteries for grab-and-go shooting.

Compact and uncomplicated, the PIXPRO FZ45 is built for people who want dependable image capture without menus or battery chargers to manage. Its 16-megapixel CMOS sensor and 27mm wide-angle setting make it easy to photograph landscapes, family gatherings, and everyday moments. The camera records Full HD 1080p clips for short videos, stores images on standard SD cards up to 512GB, and uses readily available AA batteries so you can keep shooting while traveling or during long days out.

How does the PIXPRO FZ45 perform for everyday photos?

The 16MP sensor captures enough detail for prints, social sharing, and cropping, while the 27mm wide-angle perspective helps include more of the scene. Simple exposure and auto modes let beginners get usable results fast, and physical controls mean you can change settings without diving into complex menus.

• 16MP CMOS sensor for clear day-to-day shots
• 27mm wide-angle to frame groups and landscapes
• Easy-access buttons and simple menus for quick adjustments

What video capabilities does this camera offer for events and clips?

The FZ45 records 1080p Full HD video suitable for short event clips, home movies, and sharing online. Video capture is straightforward: press record, frame with the LCD, and stop when finished. It's not built for long-form vlogging but works well for school plays, short travel sequences, and quick social videos.

• 1080p Full HD recording for sharp short videos
• Simple start/stop controls for quick capture
• Use class 10 SD/SDHC/SDXC cards up to 512GB for extended recording

How portable and convenient is the camera for travel?

With a slim, lightweight body and AA battery power, the PIXPRO FZ45 slips into a pocket or small bag and stays ready without a charger. Carry spare batteries instead of a charging cable, and use widely available SD cards to expand storage. This makes the camera a practical backup or primary device for short trips and family outings.

• Slim, pocket-friendly form factor for easy transport
• Runs on two AA alkaline batteries—ideal when outlets are unavailable
• Accepts SD, SDHC, SDXC cards up to 512GB for large photo/video libraries

What lenses and zoom should I expect for indoor and outdoor shots?

The built-in 4x optical zoom covers moderate telephoto needs while the 27mm wide-angle is helpful indoors and for scenic shots. Optical zoom preserves image quality better than digital zoom, so maintain sharpness when framing subjects a bit further away. For very distant subjects, a dedicated zoom camera would be more appropriate.

• 4x optical zoom for flexible framing without quality loss
• Wide 27mm setting to capture interiors and group photos
• Optical zoom preferred over digital for maintaining detail

Who is this for? The KODAK PIXPRO FZ45 is aimed at families, casual travelers, and photography beginners who want a fuss-free camera that produces solid images and simple Full HD video. It’s a sensible choice if you prefer physical buttons, the convenience of AA batteries, and the ability to use large-capacity SD cards. If you need advanced manual controls, interchangeable lenses, or long continuous video, a higher-end model would be more suitable; otherwise the FZ45 is a practical, pocketable camera for everyday memory-making.
