How does Kokuho Rose rice perform in everyday cooking?

Kokuho Rose cooks to a tender, slightly sticky finish that works well for a wide range of recipes, from plain steamed rice to risottos and rice salads. Its medium-grain structure absorbs flavors without falling apart, so it complements saucy and seasoned dishes equally well. Because it cooks reliably, it’s a good choice for both novice and experienced cooks.

• Typical cooked texture: moist and slightly cohesive, not mushy
• Absorbs broths, sauces, and seasonings evenly
• Consistent results with stovetop, rice cooker, or oven methods

What are the product’s key specifications and certifications?

This product comes as a 15-pound bag of 100% California-grown medium-grain rice, milled for uniform size and cooking. It carries a kosher certification and is produced in the United States. The rice is naturally free from wheat and gluten, suitable for people avoiding those ingredients.

• Format: 1 bag, 15 pounds
• Grain type: medium-grain, milled
• Certifications: Kosher certified
• Allergen info: 100% gluten and wheat free

How should I store and cook this 15-pound bag effectively?

To keep the rice fresh and pest-free, store the sealed bag in a cool, dry place or transfer rice to airtight containers. For cooking, rinse lightly if you prefer clearer grains, then use a 1:1.25–1:1.5 rice-to-water ratio depending on stove, cookware, and desired firmness. Rice cookers simplify timing; stovetop simmering with a covered pot and a short rest after cooking yields best texture.

• Storage: airtight container in a cool, dry pantry
• Rinse: optional for clearer, less starchy grains
• Cooking ratio: start with 1 cup rice to 1.25–1.5 cups water
• Rest time: 5–10 minutes covered after cooking

Why choose a 15-pound bag instead of smaller packages?

A 15-pound bag reduces packaging waste and lowers cost per pound, making it efficient for busy kitchens, large families, or anyone who uses rice frequently. It also ensures consistency across batches when preparing multiple servings or repeating recipes. Keep in mind proper storage to maintain freshness over time.

• Cost-effective bulk buy for frequent rice use
• Fewer trips to restock and less packaging
• Better for meal prepping, batch cooking, and food service

Who is this for: Kokuho Rose Rice 15-Pound is aimed at households that cook rice regularly, home cooks who value consistent texture and flavor, small restaurants and caterers needing dependable medium-grain rice, and anyone seeking a kosher, gluten-free pantry staple sourced from California.
