Komelon 7.6 m Engineer Tape Measure 1.06 in Wide Blade Yellow/Black — Dual End Hook, Compact

The Komelon 52425IE Powerblade II is a compact 25-foot engineer tape measure with a wide, high-visibility double-sided blade and dual end hook for accurate, durable measuring on the job.

Designed for contractors, tradespeople and precision-minded DIYers, this Komelon tape combines a reinforced ABS housing with a wider 1.06" blade that prints both inch and engineer scales on opposite sides. The yellow high-visibility face makes markings easy to read in a variety of light conditions while the white reverse keeps alternate scales clear. Its compact case, easy-to-slide lock and dual end hook make it a practical tool for repetitive layout and site work.

How does the wide blade improve everyday measuring?

A 1.06-inch wide blade resists curling and offers greater standout than narrow tapes, so you can measure longer distances single-handed. The increased surface area also allows clearer, larger scale printing for faster reading.

• 1.06" wide blade for extended standout and stability
• Double-sided printing reduces flipping and reorienting the tape
• High-visibility yellow face for quicker reading in dim light

What scales are printed on the blade and why that matters?

The blade shows inch markings on one side and engineer scale markings on the other, so you can switch between fractional imperial and engineering layouts without changing tools. This is useful when moving between layout, framing, piping or site surveying tasks that require different scales.

• Inch scale for standard carpentry and general measuring
• Engineer scale on the reverse for decimal-foot/engineering work
• Two-color printing (yellow front, white back) keeps each scale legible

How durable and user-friendly is the case and locking system?

The Powerblade II uses a reinforced ABS plastic housing that protects the mechanism while keeping weight low. The redesigned compact case improves grip and control, and the easy-to-slide locking mechanism secures the blade quickly for repeatable measurements.

• Reinforced ABS housing for impact resistance and light weight
• Compact ergonomic case for comfortable handling on the job
• Smooth sliding lock for quick blade hold and release

How does the dual end hook help take accurate measurements?

The tape's dual end hook lets you measure both inside and outside lengths reliably: one hook position accounts for the hook thickness when pulling, the other for pushing against a surface. This simple feature improves accuracy without extra tools or adjustments.

• Dual end hook adapts for inside and outside measurements
• Sturdy hook reduces play for repeatable accuracy
• Printed measurement on both sides minimizes repositioning

Who this is for: The Komelon 52425IE Powerblade II is suited to professionals and serious hobbyists who need a durable, readable 25-foot tape for framing, layout, plumbing or site work. If you value a wide, high-visibility blade with engineer and inch scales, a compact reinforced case, and a dependable locking and hook system, this tape measure fits on your belt and into your workflow.
