Lectron NACS to CCS1 EV Adapter Vortex Plus — 500A/1000V UL 2252 Certified Fast Charging

The Lectron Vortex Plus is a UL 2252–certified NACS to CCS1 adapter that lets supported CCS1 vehicles plug into Tesla V3 and V4 Superchargers for high-current DC fast charging up to 500A/1000V.

Designed for drivers who need reliable fast charging outside their automaker’s network, the Vortex Plus provides a robust mechanical interlock, industry-standard electrical ratings, and third-party safety certification. It opens access to thousands of Tesla Superchargers where your vehicle’s manufacturer has enabled NACS access, while clearly noting that it is not for use with Tesla vehicles or AC charging points.

How fast will my EV charge with the Vortex Plus?

Charging speed depends on your vehicle’s onboard charging ability and the Supercharger generation, but the Vortex Plus supports peak delivery up to 500 amperes at 1,000 volts to enable very high DC charging rates. Under optimal conditions, compatible CCS1 EVs can regain substantial range rapidly.

• Rated 500A / 1,000V for high-power DC charging.
• Estimated up to ~150 miles of range in about 15 minutes under ideal conditions and compatible vehicle hardware.
• Actual charge power varies by Supercharger model (V3/V4), state of charge, thermal limits, and vehicle acceptance.

Is the adapter safe and certified for public fast charging?

The Vortex Plus is the first publicly available NACS-to-CCS adapter to carry UL 2252 certification, verified by an independent NRTL. That certification covers electrical, thermal, and mechanical safety standards relevant to high-voltage EV charging equipment.

• UL 2252 certification through SGS provides third-party validation of safety and construction.
• Engineered with a secure interlock system to maintain connection integrity during high-current charging sessions.
• Designed for repetitive public fast-charging use with robust mechanical and thermal performance.

Which vehicles and stations are compatible with this adapter?

The adapter is intended for CCS1-equipped vehicles whose automakers have arranged NACS (Tesla) Supercharger access. It is not compatible with Tesla vehicles or AC charging equipment. Always confirm compatibility with your vehicle manufacturer before purchase.

• Works with CCS1 EVs that are authorized by their automaker to use Tesla Superchargers.
• Not suitable for Tesla-branded vehicles or Type 2/AC chargers.
• Refer to the included user manual and your automaker’s guidance for activation and usage details.

What practical features help during everyday charging use?

The Vortex Plus focuses on dependable connections and ease of use at high-power stations. Built components and an interlock reduce the chance of disconnection during charging, and the adapter’s electrical rating supports modern fast-charge sessions when paired with compatible infrastructure.

• Secure mechanical interlock minimizes accidental disengagement at high current.
• Durable construction suitable for frequent public charging stops.
• Compact enough to carry in a vehicle without blocking storage space.

Who is this for? The Lectron Vortex Plus is aimed at drivers of CCS1 electric vehicles who want faster, broader DC fast-charging options and whose automaker has enabled access to Tesla Superchargers. It’s appropriate for EV owners who regularly travel on routes served by Tesla’s V3/V4 networks, fleet operators seeking flexible charging options, and anyone who prioritizes certified safety and high-power compatibility. Before buying, confirm that your vehicle’s manufacturer supports Supercharger access and read the user manual to understand any enrollment or activation steps required.
