Leviton Lever Edge 15A Single-Pole Decora Rocker Switch 10-Pack White — Lever Terminals, Snap-to-Lock

Leviton Lever Edge E5601-MW is a 15-amp single-pole Decora-style rocker switch with lever termination that speeds wiring and delivers secure connections for residential and multi-unit projects.

The Leviton Lever Edge rocker switch blends Decora aesthetics with a faster, safer installation method. Designed for bedrooms, living rooms, kitchens and hallways, this 10-pack of white 15A single-pole switches uses color-coded lever terminals and a patented snap-to-lock mechanism that confirms proper wire seating. Its larger strap, tongue-and-groove alignment, and compatibility with Decora midway and standard wallplates make it a practical choice for new construction, retrofits, and MDU installs.

How does the Lever Edge make wiring faster and more reliable?

The Lever Edge replaces time-consuming screw terminations with quick open-and-close lever clamps. Installers simply open the lever, insert 12 AWG or 14 AWG solid or stranded copper wire, then snap the lever closed—the audible click indicates a secure termination.

• Wire up to 3.5x faster than traditional screw devices
• Works with 12 AWG and 14 AWG solid or stranded copper
• Patented click confirms a positive connection
• Dedicated lever terminal for grounding improves safety

Will this switch fit my multi-gang or standard wallplate setup?

Yes—the Lever Edge features a precision-engineered strap with a tongue-and-groove alignment system for faster trim-out in multi-gang installations. The midway-sized strap accepts larger wallplates but includes removable tabs for standard wallplate compatibility.

• Tongue-and-groove alignment for accurate multi-gang spacing
• Midway strap accommodates larger wallplates
• Removable custom tabs allow use with standard wallplates
• Coordinates visually with other Leviton Decora devices

What safety and quality features should I expect?

The device minimizes exposed metal parts to reduce shock risk and uses engineered lever clamps that lock wires firmly in place to prevent loose connections. Built by Leviton to Decora standards, it’s intended for everyday residential use where code-compliant, reliable performance matters.

• No exposed metal parts for safer handling and service
• Lever clamp design reduces chance of loose or back-out wiring
• Audible snap provides installation confirmation
• Durable thermoplastic and metal components for long life

How do I use the color-coded lever terminals correctly?

Color-coded levers indicate proper terminal placement, making it easy to identify hot, load, and ground points at a glance. This visual guidance helps speed installs and reduce wiring errors, useful for both DIYers and professional electricians.

• Distinct lever colors map to hot, load and ground positions
• Open lever, insert conductor, close until click confirms
• Works with both stranded and solid copper conductors
• Helpful for quick audits and multi-unit deployments

Who this is for: The Leviton Lever Edge 15A single-pole rocker switch is for homeowners, electricians, and property managers who want Decora styling plus faster, more dependable wiring. It’s especially valuable on new-construction and retrofit projects, multi-gang installations, and multi-dwelling-unit rollouts where installation speed, consistent terminations, and clean aesthetics matter.
