Maelstrom Hydration Backpack 2L Bladder — Lightweight Running Vest, Breathable & Insulated Sleeve

Maelstrom Hydration Backpack is a lightweight running vest that carries a 2L BPA-free water bladder and essential gear for long outdoor sessions.

This compact hydration pack blends durable nylon construction with a ventilated back panel and adjustable straps to deliver a secure, breathable fit for trail running, cycling, day hikes, and fastpack excursions. At about 1.1 pounds, it keeps weight down while offering four storage pockets, reflective accents, helmet clips, and an aluminum-lined sleeve that helps keep the bladder insulated and leak-contained.

How does this pack keep water cool and leak-free during activity?

The Maelstrom pack uses an aluminum-lined bladder sleeve that limits heat transfer from your pack and body, helping the 2L PEVA bladder stay cooler longer. The bladder material is BPA-free for safe drinking, and the vest routes the drinking tube through shoulder ports so you can sip without stopping.

• Aluminum-lined sleeve for thermal protection
• Durable PEVA 2-liter bladder, BPA-free
• Shoulder strap hose ports for hands-free access
• Secure closure to reduce leak risk while moving

Will the vest stay comfortable and stable during runs or rides?

Yes — the pack’s ventilated back panel reduces sweat build-up while breathable shoulder straps move with your torso. Adjustable chest straps (22.4–61 inches) allow a snug, personalized fit to prevent bounce during higher-intensity activities.

• Ventilated back panel for airflow and reduced overheating
• Adjustable chest straps to minimize movement and chafing
• Lightweight 1.1 lb construction to keep load minimal
• Contoured shoulder straps for ergonomic comfort

What storage and safety features does it offer for outdoor use?

The pack offers four pockets sized for essentials like snacks, a phone, tools, or a compact jacket, plus external helmet clips for cyclists. Reflective strips improve visibility at dusk or dawn, and the design balances storage without sacrificing motion or ventilation.

• Four external pockets for organized carry
• External helmet clips for secure transport on rides
• Reflective detailing to increase low-light visibility
• Low-profile shape to avoid snagging on branches or gear

How versatile is this hydration pack across different activities?

Designed as a hybrid between a running vest and a hiking hydration pack, it adapts to fast runs, long hikes, mountain biking, and ski tours. The combination of a 2L bladder, breathable construction, and storage compartments makes it a practical all-season companion for varied outdoor pursuits.

• Suitable for trail running, hiking, and cycling
• 2L bladder capacity for multi-hour outings
• Sturdy nylon shell for everyday durability
• Quick-access pockets for fuel and essentials
