MARCHWAY Ultralight Folding Camping Cot - Black, 2.18 kg Portable Backpacking Bed, Tool-Free Setup

MARCHWAY's ultralight folding camping cot is a compact, portable off-ground sleeping bed designed for backpacking and basecamp comfort while weighing just 4.8 pounds and packing into a 15.7" x 6.9" stuff sack.

If you want a sleep solution that balances low weight, quick setup, and reliable support, this cot is built to convert rough ground into a restful surface without overloading your pack. It combines an aircraft-grade aluminum frame with ripstop nylon fabric and smart engineering—delivering a stable sleep platform that fits easily into backpacks for hiking, mountaineering, or multi-day treks.

How fast is assembly, and can I do it without tools?

Setup is straightforward and tool-free thanks to a foldable shock-cord pole system modeled on tent poles. You unfold the frame, slide or clip the fabric into place, and within minutes you have a stable bed—no extra parts or complicated hardware required.

• Shock-corded poles for quick alignment and tensioning
• Tool-free assembly in minutes for one-person operation
• Compact storage in the included stuff sack for easy transport

Will this cot support my weight and stay stable on uneven ground?

The cot uses a high-strength, aircraft-grade aluminum frame and five heavy-duty cross rods that minimize sag and maintain a flatter sleeping surface. Ten wide anti-skid feet distribute load and reduce tipping, protecting tent floors and improving stability on rocks, dirt or grass.

• Engineered for up to 275 lbs of supported weight
• Wide, non-marring feet to protect surfaces and resist slipping
• Five cross rods to keep fabric taut and reduce sagging

Is it comfortable enough for multi-night trips or just short naps?

The sleeping surface is sized to allow natural arm placement and reduce the squeezed feeling common to ultralight gear. By raising you off the ground, it isolates from cold, damp or uneven surfaces and provides better pressure distribution than thin pads alone.

• Off-ground design improves insulation and comfort
• Optimized width for relaxed arm positioning during sleep
• Sturdy fabric and cross rods keep a flatter surface for longer rests

How compact and portable is the cot for backpacking or travel?

Packing down to a 15.7" x 6.9" stuff sack and weighing 4.8 pounds, the cot is made to slide into most travel packs or attach to an external carry. Its lightweight frame and compact profile make it suitable for hikers, mountaineers, and anyone minimizing bulk without surrendering a proper sleep surface.

• Packs into a small stuff sack for easy backpack stowage
• Lightweight 4.8 lb design for long-distance travel and climbs
• Works as a versatile sleep solution for outdoors and home

Who is this for? The MARCHWAY ultralight folding cot is aimed at hikers, backpackers, mountaineers, and campers who need a balance of comfort and portability—plus travelers who want a compact guest bed option. It’s a good match for anyone prioritizing weight savings and fast setup without sacrificing a supportive, elevated sleep surface. Avoid it if your primary need is a full-sized sleeping system or if you must carry less than five pounds under all conditions.
