Master Lock Python Cable Lock Keyed Adjustable 2-Pack 1.8 m — Braided-Steel, Weather-Resistant

Master Lock Python 8417TEC is a two-pack of 6-foot keyed adjustable cable locks designed to secure bikes, gear, and outdoor equipment with braided-steel strength and weather-resistant protection.

These adjustable cable locks combine a flexible braided-steel core with a patented pin-tumbler keyed locking mechanism and vinyl coating, offering a balance of strength, flexibility, and surface protection. Each set includes two 6 ft (1.8 m) cables, four keys, and components treated to resist rust—making them practical for trail cameras, kayaks, tools, and bicycles where a length-adjustable connection is helpful.

How does the adjustable locking feature improve fit and security?

The patented adjustable mechanism locks the cable down at any loop length, so you can tailor the fit to frames, racks, or objects without excess slack. That reduces movement and limits opportunities for tampering while keeping the cable snug around irregular shapes.

• Patented locking system holds cable tight at chosen position
• Eliminates extra loose cable that could be exploited
• Works with irregularly shaped items like cameras or kayaks

What materials and construction protect against weather and wear?

The cable uses a 3/16 in (5 mm) braided steel core for strength with a vinyl outer coating to prevent scratches to your property. The lock housing is treated for rust resistance so the unit remains functional after repeated outdoor exposure.

• 3/16 in (5 mm) braided steel for tensile strength and flexibility
• Vinyl coating protects paint and reduces abrasion
• Rust-resistant lock components extend outdoor life

How is the keyed pin-tumbler mechanism beneficial?

The integrated pin-tumbler lock provides a standard keyed operation that resists casual picking better than simple latch designs, and each pack supplies extra keys so you can share access or keep spares. This makes it straightforward to unlock in low-light or quick-access situations.

• Pin-tumbler keying for reliable, familiar operation
• Four keys included—two per lock, plus spares
• Keyed system avoids combination reset hassles

How long and versatile are these cables for different uses?

At 6 ft (1.8 m), the cable length is long enough for looping through wheels, frames, and anchor points or securing multiple items together. The flexibility of braided steel lets you route the cable through tight spaces while maintaining strength.

• 6-foot length suits bikes, trail cameras, kayaks, and job boxes
• Flexible braid navigates awkward anchor points easily
• Two-lock pack lets you secure multiple items or locations
