MAV AquaDoc Copper Algaecide for Swimming Pools, 946 ml — 90-Day Concentrated Algae Control, Non-Foaming

AquaDoc Copper Algaecide is a 32 oz, long-lasting copper-based formula that helps prevent and control common pool algae for up to 90 days when used as directed.

Keeping pool water clear and algae-free takes regular, reliable treatment — AquaDoc’s Copper Algaecide delivers sustained algae control in a concentrated, easy-to-dose liquid. Designed for use alongside your regular sanitizer and filtration routine, this product targets green, blue-green, yellow/mustard, and black algae types without foaming or staining when applied correctly. It’s made in the USA and intended for both inground and above-ground pools, with precautions for delicate plaster finishes.

How do I dose AquaDoc Copper Algaecide for routine prevention?

For ongoing algae prevention, follow the recommended dilution rate rather than guessing. Use the specified amount per volume of water and distribute the solution around the pool for even coverage.

• Standard preventative dose: 16 fl oz per 10,000 gallons of pool water.
• Measure carefully and add product to circulating water for best distribution.
• For plaster finishes, pre-dilute in a bucket of pool water before adding.
• Maintain balanced pH (around 7.2) and proper filtration to support performance.

What should I do if my pool already has visible algae?

When algae is already present, a stronger initial treatment plus physical cleaning helps clear the water faster. Follow label directions and pair algaecide treatment with brushing and filtration to remove dead algae and debris.

• Severe algae treatment: 32 fl oz per 10,000 gallons for an initial shock dose.
• Brush pool surfaces to break up algae and improve contact with the algaecide.
• Ensure pH is adjusted to about 7.2 for optimal product activity.
• Run filtration continuously until the water clears and debris is removed.

Will this product stain surfaces or cause foaming?

AquaDoc’s formula is engineered to be non-foaming and non-staining when used as directed, but certain surfaces and improper application can change results. Always follow the dilution and application guidance to protect delicate finishes.

• Non-foaming design helps maintain a clean waterline and surface finish.
• Non-staining when diluted and used according to label instructions.
• Pre-dilute before applying to plaster or sensitive surfaces to reduce risk.
• Store and handle carefully to avoid spills that could concentrate the product on pool surfaces.

How does AquaDoc Copper Algaecide fit into my regular pool care routine?

This algaecide complements standard sanitizers like chlorine by reducing the pool’s overall algae pressure and helping lower chlorine demand when used properly. It’s part of a holistic maintenance approach: balanced water chemistry, sanitizer, filtration, and occasional algaecide treatment.

• Use alongside your sanitizer; it does not replace routine chlorination or shock treatments.
• Helps reduce chlorine demand when pools are treated as directed.
• Add at routine intervals (every ~90 days for prevention) and after heavy pool use or runoff events.
• Support with proper pH control, filtration, and physical cleaning for best outcomes.

Who is this product for: AquaDoc Copper Algaecide is suited for pool owners and maintenance professionals who want a concentrated, long-acting algaecide compatible with both above-ground and inground pools. It’s helpful for seasonal pool keepers looking to cut back on frequent algaecide applications, for those battling recurring algae types, and for anyone who prefers a non-foaming, non-staining option. Always read and follow product label directions for safe use, and combine treatment with good water balance and filtration practices for the clearest results.
