McCook 15-Piece Knife Set — Cherry Wood Block, Built-In Sharpener & High-Carbon Blades

McCook 15-piece knife set pairs professional, high-carbon stainless blades with a cherry wood block that includes an integrated sharpener for always-ready edges.

This complete kitchen collection is built for everyday cooks and serious home chefs who want a full suite of cutting tools organized in a single attractive block. Each blade is forged from high-carbon stainless steel and finished with a keen 15° edge angle, while the hardwood block stores everything neatly and houses a safety-shielded sharpener for quick touch-ups. The set covers common tasks from slicing and dicing to carving and finishing, and the balanced full-tang construction gives steady control during extended prep work.

What blades are included and what tasks do they cover?

The 15-piece layout covers every common kitchen task so you won’t need to reach for extra tools. Included are large chef and slicing knives for roasts and vegetables, mid-size santoku and utility knives for daily chopping, paring tools for detail work, a full complement of serrated steak knives, two pairs of sturdy kitchen shears, and the cherry wood storage block with built-in sharpener.

• 8" chef knife — all-purpose chopping and slicing
• 8" slicing knife — carving roasts and large cuts
• 5" santoku — precise vegetable and fish work
• 5.5" serrated utility & 5" fine utility — sandwiches, produce
• 3.5" paring — peeling and small tasks
• 6× 4.5" serrated steak knives — table-ready cuts

How does the built-in sharpener keep blades performing?

The integrated sharpener in the block lets you quickly realign and touch up edges between full sharpenings. Pull each blade through the guided slots for a fast, consistent pass that restores slicing performance without removing the knife from storage. The safety shield around the sharpener helps prevent accidental contact while in use.

• Quick maintenance — touch-up in seconds
• Consistent angle guidance for repeatable results
• Safety-shielded design to protect hands and edges

Are these knives durable and easy to handle?

Blades are forged from high-carbon stainless steel with a hardness rating that balances edge retention and corrosion resistance. Each knife is full-tang with an ergonomic stainless steel handle designed for comfortable, balanced control during long prep sessions. Hand washing and careful storage will prolong both sharpness and finish.

• High-carbon stainless steel (HRC 57±2) for strength and rust resistance
• 15° tapered edges for precise, clean cuts
• Ergonomic full-tang handles for stability and comfort

How does the block fit into a kitchen and what care does it need?

The solid cherry wood block provides organized, space-efficient storage while adding a warm, traditional look to your countertop. Its compact footprint keeps knives accessible but out of the way, and the built-in sharpener means maintenance tools live where you use the knives most. To keep both blades and wood in top condition, hand wash knives and avoid dishwashers; occasionally treat the wood block if desired to maintain its finish.

• Cherry wood block offers neat, countertop storage
• Space-efficient design keeps tools accessible
• Hand wash recommended; treat wood to preserve finish
