Merrick Lil’ Plates Small Breed Dry Dog Food, Real Chicken & Sweet Potato - 1.81 kg, Grain-Free, Small Kibble

Merrick Lil’ Plates Real Chicken & Sweet Potato is a grain-free dry kibble formula made for small adult dogs, featuring real deboned chicken as the first ingredient and a smaller-sized crunch tailored to little mouths.

This premium small-breed recipe blends high-quality protein, healthy fats, and targeted joint and skin support into bite-sized kibble that’s crafted in the USA. Designed specifically with toy and small adult dogs in mind, the recipe avoids corn, wheat, soy, artificial flavors and preservatives while adding probiotics, omega fatty acids, and joint-supporting ingredients to help maintain activity and coat condition.

What makes this small-breed kibble different from regular dry dog food?

The Lil’ Plates formula is optimized for small adult dogs by using a smaller kibble shape and a nutrient profile suited to higher metabolic rates. Real deboned chicken leads the ingredient list for digestible protein, and the recipe is grain-free for dogs whose diets benefit from that approach.

• Smaller kibble size for easy chewing by small mouths
• Real deboned chicken as the primary protein source
• Grain-free recipe without corn, wheat, or soy
• Crafted in USA facilities with quality controls

How does this food support a small dog’s skin, coat and joints?

This formula includes balanced levels of omega-6 and omega-3 fatty acids to help nourish skin and promote a healthy-looking coat. It also contains higher levels of glucosamine and chondroitin compared with standard recipes to support normal hip and joint comfort for active little dogs.

• Omega-6 and omega-3 fatty acids for skin and coat condition
• Added glucosamine and chondroitin for joint support
• High-protein base to help maintain lean muscle mass

Will my small dog digest this food easily?

The recipe includes probiotics and digestive-friendly ingredients to promote healthy digestion for small breeds. Real chicken and sweet potato provide high-quality, digestible nutrients while avoiding common fillers that can be harder on some dogs’ stomachs.

• Probiotics added to support healthy digestion
• Sweet potato as a soluble carbohydrate and fiber source
• No corn, wheat, or soy — fewer common irritants

How should I feed Merrick Lil’ Plates to my small dog?

Feeding amounts depend on your dog’s weight, age, and activity level; follow the package feeding guide and adjust gradually to maintain ideal body condition. When switching foods, transition over 7–10 days by mixing increasing amounts of Merrick Lil’ Plates with the previous diet.

• Start by mixing 25% new food and 75% old food, increasing new food each day
• Refer to the bag’s feeding chart for portion guidance by weight
• Monitor weight and energy; adjust portions to keep a healthy body condition
