Micro Ingredients Organic Shredded Coconut Flakes — 1.81 kg Bulk, Raw Unsweetened Medium Flakes for Baking & Smoothies

Micro Ingredients Organic Shredded Coconut Flakes are raw, unsweetened medium-sized coconut flakes sold in a 4 lb bulk bag for cooking, baking, and topping.

These organic shredded coconut flakes deliver a neutral, naturally sweet coconut flavor without added sugar or preservatives. Harvested and lightly processed to retain creamy texture and coconut aroma, the medium-sized flakes work well where you want visible coconut pieces rather than fine shreds or desiccated powder. The 4-pound pack is ideal for home bakers, small cafés, or pantry stocking, and the product is certified non-GMO and free from common allergens like dairy and soy.

How do these coconut flakes perform in baking and desserts?

The medium flakes add chew and visible coconut character to cookies, macaroons, granolas, and cakes while maintaining moisture during baking. Because they are unsweetened, you can control the dessert’s sugar level and texture more precisely. They toast evenly for added crunch and deepen flavor when baked.

• Use 3/4 to 1 cup per recipe for noticeable coconut texture.
• Toast flakes at 325°F for 5–8 minutes for a golden, crunchy topping.
• Stir into batters or sprinkle on frostings just before serving.

Can I use these shredded coconut flakes in smoothies and breakfasts?

Yes — the medium flakes blend well in smoothies for body and mild coconut taste or stay whole to add chew to yogurt bowls and oatmeal. They’re an easy way to boost texture without adding sugar or artificial flavors. Because they’re unsweetened, they pair well with fruit, nut butters, or protein powders.

• Blend 1–2 tablespoons into smoothies for subtle coconut presence.
• Sprinkle 1–3 tablespoons over yogurt, granola, or smoothie bowls for crunch.
• Mix into overnight oats to maintain chew overnight.

Are these flakes suitable for special diets like keto or vegan?

Micro Ingredients Organic Shredded Coconut Flakes are plant-based and naturally low in carbohydrates, making them compatible with many vegan and keto meal plans when used in moderation. They contain no added sugars, dairy, gluten, or soy, and are third-party tested to confirm purity. Always track total daily carbs when following strict ketogenic macros.

• Vegan and plant-based friendly with no animal ingredients.
• Unsweetened and sugar-free for low-carb recipes.
• Free from common allergens and third-party lab tested.

How should I store and measure the 4 lb bulk package for freshness?

Store the sealed bag in a cool, dry pantry away from direct sunlight to preserve texture and aroma. After opening, transfer to an airtight container or reseal the original packaging and refrigerate for extended shelf life. Portioning into smaller jars helps keep the remaining supply fresh and easy to use.

• Keep in airtight container to prevent moisture absorption.
• Refrigerate or freeze opened portions for long-term storage.
• Measure with a dry cup or scale for recipe accuracy.
