Modern Innovations Clip-On Bedside Shelf for Bunk & Dorms — Black, Cord Pass-Through & Cup Holder

A compact clip-on bedside shelf by Modern Innovations that creates a stable, space-saving nightstand with a cord pass-through and cup holder for beds, dorms, and bunk setups.

If you need a simple, tool-free solution to keep essentials within arm’s reach, this clip-on shelf transforms a bed frame into a practical bedside surface. Designed for tight spaces such as college dorm rooms, guest rooms, and top bunks, the tray gives you a flat area for a phone, book, or beverage while keeping charging cords tidy and drinks secure.

How does the shelf attach to different bed frames?

The shelf clamps onto metal bed rails using three adjustable screw clamps that tighten by hand—no tools required. It accommodates a variety of frame thicknesses and locks to the rail to prevent wobble when tightened correctly.

• Three twist clamps secure to standard metal rails
• Quick installation: hook, tighten, done in under a minute
• No drilling or permanent modification to the bed
• Fits most bunk beds, platform beds, and metal frames

What fits on the tray and how does the cord holder work?

The tray offers a flat surface for everyday items and includes a cord slot that routes charging cables neatly without dangling over the edge. A recessed cup holder (3" diameter, 0.5" deep) keeps cans, water bottles, and small mugs stable while you sleep or study.

• 3" cup holder prevents spills for cans and small bottles
• Cord insert keeps phone and laptop chargers organized
• Room for a phone, small lamp, book, or notebook
• Durable surface supports lightweight devices and accessories

Is the shelf durable and suitable for everyday dorm use?

Built to be a practical alternative to bulky nightstands, the shelf uses sturdy materials and a secure clamp system for daily use in dorms or small apartments. It's intended for light to moderate loads—ideal for electronics, snacks, and study essentials rather than heavy appliances.

• Stable clamp design reduces movement and wobble
• Easy-to-clean finish suitable for regular use
• Lightweight yet rigid enough for books and devices
• Portable and reusable across rooms and beds

How fast is setup and can it be moved or stored easily?

Installation takes less than a minute: hang the tray, tighten three clamps by hand, and it's ready. When not in use, the shelf detaches quickly and stores flat or transports easily between rooms.

• No tools or hardware needed for assembly
• Detaches and reattaches in seconds for moving
• Compact footprint fits in closets or under beds for storage
• Ideal gift for students or frequent movers

Who this is for: This Modern Innovations clip-on bedside shelf is designed for people who want a compact, movable nightstand alternative—students in dorms, families sharing small bedrooms, or anyone with bunk beds who needs a safe place for a phone, drink, or book.
