Moleskine Classic Large Ruled Notebook — Black Hardcover, 192 Ivory Pages, Elastic Band

Compact enough to carry and generous enough for long-form notes, the Moleskine Classic Large Ruled Notebook pairs a hard black cover with 192 cream pages on acid-free, FSC-certified paper. Its elastic closure, ribbon bookmark and inner accordion pocket make it a practical option for organized ideas on the go, whether you keep it in a tote, backpack, or briefcase.

How is this notebook built to withstand daily use?

The Moleskine Classic features a stiff, cardboard-bound hardcover with rounded corners to resist wear. An elastic band keeps pages secure, while the sewn binding lays flat for easier writing across both pages.

• Sturdy hardcover construction minimizes bending and creasing
• Durable elastic closure holds loose papers and notes
• Rounded corners reduce edge damage from frequent handling
• Sewn binding helps the notebook open flat for comfortable writing

What paper and ruling will I find inside?

This edition uses ruled formatting on 70 gsm (47 lb.) ivory paper sized for standard, everyday handwriting and notes. The pages are acid-free and pH neutral, helping preserve writing without yellowing over time.

• Ruled layout ideal for lists, meeting notes and journaling
• 70 gsm paper balances ink handling and portability
• Ivory tint reduces glare for extended writing sessions
• Acid-free, FSC-certified paper supports archival storage

How does it help keep my work organized while traveling?

Beyond its compact 5 x 8.25" footprint, the notebook includes a built-in accordion pocket to hold receipts, clippings, and small documents. The ribbon bookmark helps you quickly return to current pages, and the elastic band secures everything when stored in bags.

• Expandable inner pocket stores loose items and reference materials
• Bookmark ribbon marks active pages for quick access
• Elastic closure prevents pages from flapping during transit
• Lightweight size fits most backpacks, briefcases, and totes

Will this notebook work with fountain pens or markers?

The 70 gsm paper is designed for general writing instruments like ballpoint, pencil, and many fountain pens, offering a pleasant texture and minimal feathering for everyday notes. For heavy ink saturation or broad markers, testing your preferred pen on a corner page is recommended.

• Textured pages support smooth ink flow for most pens
• Minimizes bleed-through with typical everyday pens
• Best practice: test specialty inks on a spare page first
• Works well for mixed pen-and-pencil usage
