NETUM Bluetooth Barcode Scanner NT-1228bc — 2.4G/Bluetooth/USB Multimode, 2500-pixel CCD, 100k Storage

The NETUM NT-1228bc is a versatile handheld barcode scanner that connects via 2.4G wireless dongle, Bluetooth (HID/SPP/BLE) or USB wired and reads 1D and stacked barcodes quickly from paper or screens.

Whether you need a fixed checkout scanner, a mobile inventory tool or a backup device for intermittent connectivity, this NETUM model balances compatibility, battery life and programmable options. It uses a high-resolution CCD sensor for reliable decoding and offers multiple scan modes plus on-device storage for offline use.

How does this scanner connect to my devices?

The NETUM NT-1228bc supports three connection methods to suit different workflows: a 2.4 GHz wireless USB receiver for plug-and-play needs, Bluetooth in HID/SPP/BLE modes for phones and tablets, and a USB wired option for direct PC use. It works across major platforms so you can switch hosts without extra hardware.

• 2.4G USB dongle for low-latency wireless use with PCs
• Bluetooth HID/SPP/BLE to pair with iOS, Android, Windows and Mac
• USB wired mode for continuous power and legacy systems
• Compatible with Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, iOS and more

How well does it read damaged or screen-displayed barcodes?

Equipped with a 2500-pixel CCD sensor, the NT-1228bc decodes standard 1D and stacked barcodes quickly, including codes printed on paper, shown on displays, or behind shrink wrap and glass. It’s designed to handle worn or closely spaced lines better than lower-resolution models.

• High-resolution CCD engine for accurate decoding
• Reads barcodes from monitors, smartphones and tablets
• Effective through plastic wrap and glass surfaces
• Supports ISBN and other common 1D formats

What scanning modes and offline features are available?

The scanner offers manual trigger, continuous, and auto-sensing modes to fit point-of-sale or bulk scanning tasks. It includes a storage mode that saves up to 100,000 barcodes when out of wireless range, which you can later upload to a host device.

• Manual trigger for single scans, continuous for fast batches
• Auto-sensing mode for hands-free scanning at counters
• Onboard storage for up to 100,000 barcodes when offline
• Configuration via setting barcodes—scan the codes in the manual

How long does the battery last and can I customize the scanner?

The NT-1228bc uses a 2600 mAh rechargeable battery that supports long run times—up to about 200,000 scans per full charge and roughly a month of typical use in moderate duty environments. The device is programmable so you can add prefixes/suffixes, remove unwanted characters, assign keyboard keys, or mute the beep for quiet areas.

• 2600 mAh cell for extended daily use and bulk scanning
• Estimated 200,000 scans per full charge under typical conditions
• Programmable prefixes, suffixes, deletions and key codes (TAB, CR/LF, Home)
• Buzzer can be disabled for silent operation; note POS compatibility limits

Who is this for? The NETUM NT-1228bc fits retail shops, small warehouses, libraries, clinics and any mobile workforce that needs cross-platform compatibility and robust offline scanning. Choose this model if you want flexible connection options, long battery life for repeated daily scanning, and programmable behavior to tailor data output. If you rely on square POS / Divalto / DoorDash / Lightspeed POS systems, check compatibility before purchase.
